A heartfelt message to all who loved Manuel and his family's cafe...You will be forever in our hearts. Please stay strong. We look forward to seeing you in person and sharing stories of all the kindness Manuel showed to everybody in the neighborhood. He made Washington Avenue so much brighter and happier for everybody who knew him. He will be sorely missed. May his memory forever be a blessing.

The photo I posted is of the post workout sandwich...it is soooooo good. The mixed vegetable omelette and French toast were yummy as well. I will order from this place again when I am back in town!

Always greeted with a friendly hello. I have been going to them since the open and although the know my name they call me Miss, hello miss. The food is always cooked with love and breakfast is yummy. A great place if you need something quick and and on the go or you can sit down a stay. I love the ginger tea and sesame bagels. The smoothies are good too. Although I don't drink coffee, I see people ordering the coffee a lot so I assume it's good. When I can't cook breakfast this is where I send my daughter in the morning to grab something to eat.

One of my favorite neighborhood spots! It's family owned and the food is great! We try to go here every weekend. Order yourself a cappuccino and enjoy your visit!

The coffee was great. The food was just terrible. The meat was too salted and bland. I am not ordering here again unless I have a good reason too.

This neighborhood gem has everything! Omelettes, salads, burgers, sandwiches, Lox bagels, pastries, large cookies in glass jars, coffee, and smoothies. All served with love, attention, and care from the owner. He takes the time to ask how much butter or jelly you'd like on your toast, which milk you'd like on your coffee, if the coffee needs to be stronger, etc all with a genuine smile on his face. It feels like I've been welcomed into his home kitchen every time I step through the door! There's also plenty of seating and cute quote decors on the walls. It's my secret happy place :)

This is a wonderful, family owned business in crown heights. They have a large selection of sanwiches and fresh cooked meals. They also have a juice bar, coffees, and baked goods. I'm not sure, but I think the baked items are baked on site. They also do some catering. They are warm, friendly, and welcoming. I would definitely strongly reccomend this place.

Recently moved to Prospect Heights and am exploring local food options. I stopped by Washington Ave Cafe this morning and will be returning soon! I ordered the pollo al horno lunch special, and the food was prepared quickly and delicious.
