Just visited here impromptu, without booking on a Friday night, while visiting NYC on holiday. It was very quiet so I was slightly concerned but I needn’t have been. It has a great vibe, cosy lighting, awesome laid back tunes and the food was absolutely lovely. We were a little disappointed that the Porterhouse steak for two wasn’t available but husband and son had steak frites instead and it was amazing. I had the scallops and mussels and daughter a pasta dish. All of us were very impressed. Would recommend.

The owner incredibly rude and food tasted like it was frozen from Costco. In fact that’s overselling it - I would much rather eat frozen Costco food than what they’re serving here.

No water, terrible customer service. Maybe even a hint of bias at this place from the bartenders? Do better.

This place was a bit of a disappointment. I ordered the short rib gnocchi and it tasted like it was leftovers that had been reheated. Three friends ordered the scallops and they were all cold and over cooked.
The server had a hard time keeping our orders straight and was not very attentive. Before we started ordering I asked what the options were for splitting the bill and was told we could only use one card. She also wouldn’t let us split the check. As someone who works with Square, I know that there is a capability to split the check multiple times. When we go the bill there was a credit card fee that we were not made aware of ahead of time. So basically they prefer you pay cash. Who pays with cash these days?

Service was good enough. Attentive but not overly so for sitting at the bar. Pretty place but not much of a vibe during happy hour. Made a strong drink. Just had wine and cocktails.

Came for few drinks, prices are decent, creative cocktail list but the bartender was more interested in texting amd being on the phone than serving 3 customers in the entire bar area during lunch...

I think this place has a lot going for it. They just need to tighten up on the service a lil bit. Today I had the $16 lunch special tavern burger and it was cooked properly medium rare. I found the meat to be a little under seasoned and the cheddar cheese wasnt giving enough saltiness for the burger so I did have to add salt and pepper ontop of the burger. The fries that come with it were nice and crispy and I appreciated getting both mayo-aoli as a dip option as well as ketchup. The server seems a little out of it , he just seems tired and uninterested in being there which hey I get it we dont love our jobs all the time, but im seeing a lot of other reviews mentioning similar vibes so its definitely something they need to work on. It was pretty empty I was there from 1-140pm and only two other tables came in the whole time (when I walked in just after 1pm the place was totally empty). I thought it was weird when I asked the server if next time on the burger could I ask for a different cheese option since cheddar isnt the best on a burger imho and he said he didnt know, he would have to ask the chef, but then he never went and asked lmao

Best place ever!!

This bar has three large TVs but no subscription to ESPN. There are signs on the walls listing beers, but they have not been updated in a while and a lot of the selections are not available. This is definitely not a place firing on all cylinders.

Dropped in for a quick beer. The ipa on tap was good. Would visit again.

Nice spot to have dinner at if you’re in Dumbo. The restaurant has a quiet and relaxed vibe to it which we really appreciated after a long day of exploring Brooklyn. The food was pretty good and we were served quickly. We tried the Penne alla vodka which were very saucy and the scallops with spinach which I highly recommend.

Went in as a group of 4. The waiter taking our order was nice. The server was drunk and by drunk I mean he was stumbling and when he came to serve our food, he reeked of alcohol. We later saw him at the bar sipping something out a white cup.

Half way through our short rib gnocchi we come across a piece of hard plastic and wave the waiter over. He offers to make another one but we tell him we rather have it comped. He goes in the back and says they can’t comp it. We end up paying the bill without tipping and leave.

I would not recommend this place at all!
