Very authentic fuzhounese food!
The pork bun is huge and full of stuffing, a bit too oily and salty for my liking, but still very good. I really liked their fujianese wonton soup. The wontons were plump and tasted just the way I remembered in my childhood (make sure to add some vinegar to the soup). 😋
Their dine-in space is a bit limited. But most people buy and take it home to cook/eat anyways.
Just a heads up, the family that operates the restaurant can be a bit unresponsive and rude. So don’t get offended…
Got the rice flake soup and a pan fried bao. The soup broth was still clear and had a decent amount of veggies/dried shrimp. :) the bao was good. Got a noodle soup to go.
They sell primarily Fuzhounese food here. The fuzhounese wonton was kinda salty and didn’t have a lot of meat. So I wouldn’t recommend the fuzhounese wonton here. But the pork bun was huge and had generous filling. And the mix beef noodle soup was good! So overall pretty good, it you don’t wanna go all the way to 8th Ave for more Fuzhounese food options.
Buns are made with machines and absolutely disgusting. The service and attitude of the lady in the front is also not good.
No clue why people are rating it 1 star - the food and people there are great.
The service attitude is very poor. The waiter plays games and ignores customers. He is quite aggressive. I will not dare to go there again next time.
Xiaolungbao are a steamed bun wheat dough style I first had in Taiwan. Absolutely addictive. Saw some folks roll out with 600 of them so call ahead for a big order. Take a small bite off the top and splash a little siracha in there and just leave me tf alone. Soooo goooood.
Broth and dumplings also fresh and delicious.

I am in 100% agreement with the Xiaolongbao review by Wei. It is not the Shanghainese style, but they are still super tasty and cute.

Food is actually really good. This is one of those cheap, get good authentic comfort food and go about your day spots. You don’t come here for this service, you come here to get food and move on your day.Overall solid spot

The price of their pork and leek dumplings is very good, but it has a weird smell. I don’t know if it’s the sauce or the part of the pork. It has a pig smell. I’ve noticed it several times in the past six months. I hope the store can improve it. Come on.
The Xiaolongbao here is actually just a smaller version of the traditional Bao, not the soup dumplings. That being said, it’s still one of the best tasting baos around. I come here and buy the bao in bulk. They freeze/store well and easy to microwave straight out the freezer. This is not designed to be a sit down place, designed for take out and grabbing something quick.
