This corner spot has both a bar area, seating in the front and a back room that's perfect for corralling families on the weekend. I have been for brunch and definitely recommend trying a few things including the pretzel which IS the best pretzel in NYC as both NY Mag and NY Times have declared. Don't skip taking an apple strudel to go!

Werkstatt is a beloved neighborhood spot, offering a laid-back atmosphere with standout dishes like the Lamb Shank, Pretzel, and Pastrami Hash. A perfect weekend destination for regulars, it’s a great place to meet friends and enjoy top-notch service. The Roasted Chicken with fries and salad is a must-try if you’re looking to impress. Add a whiskey sour to make them extra happy. A true community favorite for over a decade!

Incredible meal! We came to Werkstatt for our 10 year wedding anniversary and had such a great time. Cold, crisp Kolsch with our roasted Brussels sprouts and pretzel, followed by another round of Kolsch with our chicken schnitzel and polish kielbasa with lots of tasty salads/sides.

Service was great. Great music, vibe. Everything. Our new favorite neighborhood restaurant!
