My family had the best time with an annual cookie kit subscription! Each month had new, creative cookies. For anyone who's concerned that the cookies look pretty but taste bad, I promise they're DELICIOUS! I was pleasantly surprised myself, I definitely didn't think the cookies would taste good but ordered the kits anyway as a fun bonding experience for my kids. Customer service was also incredible- very quick response time, and super helpful. My kids were away for the summer so we had our cookies sent to other family members and customer service was very accommodating with our request. I highly recommend an annual subscription as the monthly anticipation is part of the fun, but even as a one time gift it's a great idea.
