Sweet little place with a nice selection of specialty trinkets and snacks.
Happy to have this place in the neighborhood.
Food is good, coffee is fine, service staff is unfriendly and frankly rude, their voices filled with nothing except ridicule. They have as much aura as a polyester shirt at a thrift store, stained and radiating its stink to anyone that comes near.
I have given it too many chances and made too many excuses. Please heal whatever made you this way, your neighbors deserve better.

Local nabe spot that is totally reliable. I call it my front porch since I pop in every day for a lil bit of this and a lil bit of that. Brian is the tea that keeps on giving. He’s there usually in the morns and cracks me up… startin my day with a chuckle and a pop hit on the speakers. Lauren, the owner, is a local who is sweet as the matcha cookies they cookin up. Support Willoughby Gen and keep the biz a going!

As much as I love this place in my neighborhood, the service is absolutely abismal. The staff acts like they’re doing favors, never offer a bag for your items, unlikable and everytime I go just dread having to interact with a particular person there who is stand-off ish, and acts with the most disinterest to being of service

Such a beautiful and quirky coffee shop/store. Found this on a weekend stay in Bed-Stuy. Great coffee and breakfast burrito. Love this gem, wish it was in my town.

I stumbled upon this coffee shop and was pleasantly surprised by how great everything was. The coffee is rich and smooth—clearly made with care—and the sandwich I had was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The atmosphere is cozy yet modern, with plenty of comfortable seating and thoughtful amenities like fast Wi-Fi

My pup and I LOVE Willoughby General. Friendly staff, great treats, and the store is so involved with our community. It is so beautiful to see and I love to support! Go there and get a breakfast burrito, you won't regret it!

Where else can you get a cute "catchall", some energy clearing spray, your fave hot sauce, AND a fluffy delicious turmeric latte along with attentive service and cozy outdoor hang space all while also support a local, independent, woman owned business?
I mean, hopefully at least a few places in this world, but Willoughby General is the place to go if you're in NYC.

Stopped for a morning coffee after seeing it getting a 4.8 rating. It did not disappoint! Woman working was smiling and pleasant. Loved the vibe of the music inside. I ordered a large drip coffee with whole milk and one of the breakfast burritos w bacon/egg/cheese. There were also roasted potatoes and black beans inside. There was a slight spice that made a perfect amount of dry heat to the meal. Delicious coffee as well. I’d recommend!

I recently visited Willoughby General, very rustic and quaint; unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.
I found a bug in my drink, which was quite off-putting. There were numerous fruit flies in the food display, raising serious concerns about food safety. Despite the visible issues and being told about it, the barista did not throw out the affected food items. The straws were left open to the air and not packaged individually, which is not ideal for hygiene. To top it off, I noticed dead flies at the back counter, which added to the overall uncleanliness.
I hope the management takes these issues seriously, as cleanliness and food safety are crucial for any food establishment.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible, pretty high step up into the store.

One of my favorite neighborhood shops. Cold brew and breakfast burritos are SO good and the best place in the neighborhood to pick up a gift
Among the best vegan breakfast options in the area, if you can get there before they sell out! It’s a little expensive ($8.99 plus tax/tip) but consistently good & convenient. They also usually have some vegan muffins, prepared salads, etc but I usually just go for the tofu scram burrito. Updated from previous review on 2024-08-28
Stopped in the shop the last time I was in the city. It Had a wonderful array of food and merch. But the best part was the SERVICE. The gentleman that helped me was knowledgeable of everything in the store and gave me exceptional service. Prices were a bit high for some ,but when you have a good employee they can sell anything.

Wonderful little neighborhood store with good selection of goods. Overall happy with what they carry and most of my interactions. There is however one employee who repeatedly goes out of his way to channel the feeling of a morgue; cold, repressive and overall offended by your entire presence. I’ve never felt so unwelcome; so bothersome and so small. The delightful smells of the shop are lost in the emptiness this person manifests. I won’t be back and I’m bummed. The burritos are good.
