The food was ok. I got the large turkey wings, with two sides ( candied yams and collard greens) The portions were good. I also got meatloaf, with two sides ( I asked for Mac and cheese and they gave me yams and I also got the Blackeyed peas). The meatloaf was too salty, and the Blackeyed peas tasted funny.

Xcellent Soul Food is exactly what it is. I've been living in this neighborhood for quite some time and somehow I missed this gem. Love the food and the staff is welcoming. So far I've been there 3 times and this food is exactly what they advertise. Xcellent is Excellent.

I walked 20 minutes for this plate of food and I’m so glad I did! The Mac and cheese was amazing, chicken seasoned to perfection and the candied yams were great! The lady at the till recommended the sorrel juice which I wouldn’t usually go for but I tried it and it was the best sorrel I’ve had! 10/10 from a London girl!
