So happy I stumbled upon this quaint and inviting restaurant after my appointment in Caroll Gardens. Gabriela was so sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The decor is festive and vibrant like many Mexican restaurants but there’s a more mellow, cool toned factor to it as shown in the photos. I had a spicy margarita, a rajas tamale and a chicken tinga tostada that was a decent portion and also very delicious. Can’t wait to stop by again!

If you're expecting flavorful, authentic Mexican cuisine—look elsewhere. Xochtl Taqueria completely missed the mark. The wings were overly salty, the drinks were bland, and the Mexican street corn had no flavor at all. Even the Fresca Jamaica tasted watered down. Overall, the food was bad and lacked the bold, vibrant flavors you'd hope for in a Mexican restaurant. I definitely won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone seeking a satisfying meal.
