Honestly it was decent , very flavorful and the chicken was tender . Iâll be back when Iâm in the neighborhood . đđŸ.

Every time I place an order whether through DoorDash or Uber, they always take more than 2 hours just to make your food. They tend to have the dasher waiting for 40+ mins for the order. And when you call and asked if the status, they lie and say itâll be ready in 5 when in reality itâll take 20+ mins.
I have been a loyal customer of Yaad Man Things for quite some time, as the food has generally been consistently good and representative of authentic Jamaican flavors. However, my most recent experience was unfortunately very disappointing.
Yesterday, I ordered the oxtail with white rice, jerk chicken, and sweet chili wings. To start, the portion of oxtail was surprisingly smallâapproximately 5â6 piecesâeven though I ordered a large serving. The white rice was hard and undercooked, the jerk chicken lacked seasoning and depth of flavor, and the sweet chili wings were bland and needed considerably more seasoning.
As someone of Jamaican heritage, it is particularly disheartening to visit a restaurant that represents my culture and find the quality falling short of expectations. My family and I have decided to take a long-overdue break from Yaad Man Things, as the food has not been up to its previous standards for some time now.
Paying nearly $50 for a meal that feels like a waste, especially after a long day of work, is extremely frustrating. I hope management will take this feedback constructively and make improvements so that the food can return to the level of quality that once made this restaurant a favorite.

Big portions of foodâŠ.. but food was nasty. I couldnât finish it. Jerk chicken wasnât fully cooked/soaked. Some portions of the chicken werenât fully ready. End up eating just eating Macaroni Salad, Rice & Peas, and even that was mid. As a Jamaican, definitely disappointed.

As an adventurer for new dishes, Yaad man thingâs food was definitely top tier. Especially since Iâve tried other Jamaican restaurants around New York. The complementary spices as you bite into literally every single dish is astounding. The ribs in my opinion is the star of the show and the customer service by your staff was like no other. You have gained one loyal customer because of these things.
