basically paid $7 for grass water. they leave their milks on the shelf and not in the fridge. and their matcha is mixed already in a squeeze body. so disappointing for a shop in japanville.
The Mochi is so good 🤤
I ordered a hojicha kakigori and it was pretty decent. Not the greatest, but the ice was tempered properly so that's good. I'll try them again in the future.
I noticed that another review mentioned that they do not use an authentic shaved ice machine, but that was absolutely not true during my visit. Maybe it's changed since then or that reviewer didn't receive the same quality of product. The machine they use is a Japanese imported one made for kakigori. I'm not going to mention the brand (since other importer brands slap their name on this machine as well), but it's roughly $2.5k and I own one myself. It's a very high quality machine and imo, better than many of the ones used in for Taiwanese shaved ice in Taipei. In terms of ice thickness, you can adjust how fine you want the ice on that machine.
This place is delicious with authentic Japanese desserts. It should be rated higher!
I ordered the mochi matcha ice-cream and two iced matcha lattes with milk. The mochi was pretty good. Despite this, I was extremely disappointed with my matcha. I paid $12 for both, just for it to be extremely watered down with the tiniest splash of milk. It tasted like regular brewed green tea did not look like a high quality matcha like advertised on the menu. I recommend getting your matcha elsewhere.
The latte was $6, price is cheaper than normal. But you soon see the premixed and watered down containers after ordering. They just pour it out of a premixed container and add very little milk. They will not add even an additional teaspoon upon request. They do not offer the syrup either. Just go next door to Panya. Much better quality and hand mixed in front of you for the exact same price, but you get a more uniform mix and less tea residue when you sip.
Matcha latte and hojicha are pretty good and the syrup is self-serve so you don’t worry about sweetness level. They have regular simple syrup and kuromitsu syrup.
Don’t order their latte, they taste like water
Chocolate matcha 😋
This location is quite known for its delicious ice cream offerings. You will be pleased to know that they have a wide variety of flavors. Each scoop is crafted with care and attention to detail. The texture is perfectly creamy and the taste is simply divine. It's an experience that's hard to forget.
I wise there was a to-go option for the shaved ice though.

Very good Japanese ice cream treat. It is flavorful and well balanced. And a reasonable price.
Got ripped off gave me red bean drink instead of matcha chocolate
I recently stopped by to try out their serve soft serve ice cream inside Japan Village on the first floor. I got the matcha ($5.52) and milk flavor soft serve ($5.52). The matcha soft serve has a more bitter taste and the milk tastes sweeter and creamier. I would like to try their mochi ice cream when I come back again. They also have these adorable fruity animal shaped shaved ice and drinks as well.
Yummy ice cream with shaved ice from Japan.
Worst shave ice in my life. For $14 you are getting barely no toppings. Ice shaving machine is also not authentic so that ice tastes chunky instead of soft.. This is a ripoff.
