It makes me so sad to rate this a 1 bc Yakitori Donburi used to be my favorite but our meal tonight was inexcusable. The food took over 40 minutes to come out. It literally tasted like water. Wonton soup didn't taste like broth, it tastes like water. The lemon sauce for the lemon chicken literally is yellow-dyed water. The coating on the lemon chicken was not crispy or flavorful, whatsoever. I have not been this disappointed in a dining experience in many many years. My husband and I ordered a ton of food bc this place used to be awesome and we wanted to have leftovers. Now we're stuck with $100 worth of food that tastes like water. I'm actually pissed off at how bad this is.

When we came in, there was nobody inside. The chairs were all up and we sat on a dirty table which they did not even bother to clean upon our arrival. There was no heat and it was really cold inside and the plates were dusty/not clean. We went there for the skewers and the food was alright, nothing special. There was a weird sauce that was overpowering and overwhelmingly salty on the chicken skewers. The enoki bacon skewer was super salty with random pieces of pork belly in it. The lamb and beef skewers were not bad and the fried calamari was lightly fried along with something that resembled ChickFila sauce. They didn’t have a working credit card machine and we had to zelle them. We got six orders for around $45.

Worst food i have had in many years. Old, stale meat, dried out and overly salted. Not edible!

,Beef was cover with unrecognisable sauce, hard as a rock! Rice was ok, soup was ice cold, and I was the only person at the restaurant..

I was really disappointed with the General Tso’s chicken that I received when ordering takeout. There just wasn’t enough sauce, which made the dish quite dry. It was really disappointing because the bites that did have sauce were absolutely amazing! Lots of places making American Chinese food in Buffalo either over bread the chicken, use really cheap garbage pieces of chicken, or have a bad sauce. 546 yakitori and Donburi didn’t do any of that! They had great chicken with just the right amount of breading and fried perfectly, and the sauce (what was there) was spot on as far as flavor goes. It just needed more sauce! It would have been perfect if they added more of the sauce with the dish.

Maybe it’s better in person, but as a takeout dish it was really disappointing.

Really was craving some Katsu, decided to check this place out on a whim and HOLY CRAP. Easily the BEST Katsu Curry I have EVER had. I was FLOORED. It’s been 2 days and I’m still thinking about it. Told my sister and her friends about it too!

The spicy chicken was so dry and barely any meat, it was over crispy and burnt there was also some aluminum cleaner thing in my plate

I have been ordering from 546 almost weekly for a while now, so I figured it's finally time to write a review! I will say I've always ordered pickup, so I cannot comment on the dining-in experience, but the service is always quick and the woman running the front is so respectful and kind. I always order the chicken katsu curry, and while I saw another review saying it wasn't good, I love it. I think they give you a lot of chicken for the price and the curry sauce has great flavor. I plan to continue coming here and I recommend you give them a try!

This review is solely on the chicken katsu curry, I haven't tried anything else on the menu. I've had my share of chicken katsu curry and I won't say this is the worst but it's definitely on the lower end of "mid." I guess it's buy one get one free for a reason... Let's start with the curry.. Pretty watery for my tastes, zero spice and I'd say the quality was lower than that of box curry where someone followed the instructions to a T, Bland. Onto the chicken katsu, it was fried pretty well I'll give them that, but the chicken itself is about as thin as the chopsticks they gave me, maybe thinner. The breading wasn't kicked up with any seasonings either, just basic panko. The chicken itself was a cheap, dry, and thin cut of meat. Still valid protein though I guess. Can't complain too much about the rice but it's not high quality nor is it some low quality minute rice, it's just mid. If you're buying the chicken katsu curry for the quantity with the buy one get one free deal its alright, if you're buying for quality though.. this ain't it. Get your tastebuds checked if you think this is good!

Lovely food. Very hole in the wall. Not fancy but who cares, amazing value. Get the Yakitori on the back of the menu and the fried rice.

Love their authentic Japanese cuisine, service is ALWAYS kind and with a smile. Can’t wait to see how they grow into a building suited for their talents.
