“Today, was the very first time for my stopping by there, to taste their ribs. Unfortunately, they were out of the ribs, but assured that they would be back in stroke, with them, at 5pm. They allowed me to taste test some of their pulled pork, and it was SO GOOD that I had to buy some. I have NO DOUBT, whatsoever, that their ribs will hold the same 'chef-manship' as their pulled pork. This father and son team not only work such magic at the grill, but are - both - very pleasant individuals, to boot.”

We were welcomed warmly as soon as we entered and our drinks arrived shortly after we were seated. We ordered many of the small plates which arrived in 2 parts. My husband raved about the green beans and carrots, which is unusual since he’s more of a meat eater. I loved the octopus. There was not one dish that disappointed. The drinks were inventive, unique and delicious. We loved our visit and will return.”

“Found this place on a Yelp search for Indian food in Buffalo. One final meal before our return trip home. We got there around 4:00 pm on a Tuesday and the place was empty. The server brought us to a table by the front window, which was very nice. We first ordered a Vegetable Samosa to share. The server brought us the dish, which is two nice size samosas that were perfect for sharing one each as an appetizer. The pastry was fried nicely, with each bite starting with a crunch followed by tender inner pastry. The filling of potato and peas was ample. My partner ordered Lamb Curry and I ordered Saag Paneer. My partner liked the heat of her dish (she ordered "medium", one of the two options offered - medium or spicy.). The lamb was cooked nicely and had a good flavor. The curry sauce was nicely spiced, but not overpowering. The Saag Paneer (also ordered medium) included large chunks of paneer and was nicely spiced. I'm thinking that if I had ordered it Spicy that I may not have been able to eat it. This was plenty spicy. The orders came with a large plate of well prepared basmati rice, which we could have requested more of but it was plenty. We also ordered a garlic naan, which was a single naan bread cut into four pieces. Each piece had chunks of garlic throughout and was very good. We told the server that we were just passing through town and probably wouldn't be back in the area. So, we were surprised when he brought the check and gave each of us a complementary serving of rice pudding. I'm not usually a fan of rice pudding because it either doesn't have much flavor or is too watery. This dessert suffered from neither of those things. It was delicious.”

They have a nice happy hour menu, I got a smaller portion of the cucumber salad that was seasoned well and a great portion for an individual app.For my main, I had gotten the burger which was DELICIOUS. The double patty with cheese gives you the perfect bun to meat ratio. Grilled to perfection and seasoned beautifully. The side of potatoes have a great crunch with a wonderfully fluffy interior and an even better side of chimichurri. Quite frankly I’d buy the chimichurri by the jar if I could.Lastly, for dessert I had the olive oil cake. It was nice and light, the brown butter applesauce added a nice balance. The fennel sugar smelled like fennel but was overpowering to the palate. And to top it all off I had a great stout with my meal as well.Overall, great atmosphere with great food to pair. “Food is always good and atmosphere is great. Our server was a very sweet old lady and she took great care of us.This last time I was at Chef's I attended an event that was incredible. It was called "A Taste of Italy" and the location they featured was Sicily. The meal consisted of a four-course food and wine pairing. The first coast was an Arancini balled that was the size of a softball and stuffed with rice, ground beef, and peas, and sat in their red sauce. This was accompanied by a white Grillo wine. It was so good, and more than enough for one person. The second course was bucatini pasta with a red sardine sauce. This course was paired with a Merlot. The sardines were not overpowering and it was so good. I ended up having to take half home because I was already getting full. The third course was grilled swordfish with olives, capers, fresh lemon, and olive oil, with a side of fingerling potatoes. This course was paired with a Biano wine. Incredible, and even though I hate olives, the taste of them on the fish with the rest of the items was perfect. I also took half of the fish home. The last course was a cannoli, and I normally don't care for them, but these were perfect and very delicious. They also included warm homemade bread and coffee at the end. I can't wait for the next event in September, and highly recommend these events if you are a foody like me!”

The woman who runs the place was generous enough to give us mango lassis as Eidi too (complimentary) that made our experience even better! The restaurant was clean and well decorated! We ordered a medium level of spice, and while personally for someone who cannot deal with spices I would prefer mild (I would recommend this if someone does not want spicy food), my friends did quite enjoy it! I really really enjoyed the naans and parathas! The food tasted great but due to my spice intolerance I could not enjoy it as much, but the raita and chutney certainly helped! The lassis, especially the mango lassi, were cool, sweet and refreshing. I would definitely love to come here again! I had the pork chop special with pear chutney and WOW, the biggest and moist cut of pork I've had with an amazing flavor profile. I had the fruit cookie for dessert and it was absolutely divine. Our server, Amanda, was so friendly and helpful, suggesting apps, working with my friend to find the perfect red wine for her, and even humoring my other friend to pick a meal and surprise her- and she picked well! Good service makes all the difference and we can't say enough about her and the atmosphere here. The food arrived nice and hot still, even after my driver had another delivery before me. I could smell it through the bag it smelt so good. The food was amazing. I literally had to stop myself from eating because I didn't take a breath yet lol. My friend shares the same passion for this dish as me so I took a picture of it and tagged her. I was happy it came with Texas toast and what really drove me in was the fact they used bowtie noodles instead of the pene noodles that I'm used to. it made the dish so much better. now let's get to the chicken, omg when I say it was seasoned to perfection. I would order the chicken alone that's how great it was. the peppers were fresh and the spices were just right. The portion was large but overall, delish. Wish they toned a bit back on the spices on the fish but the fries and slaw were a nice touch. The restaurant got pretty busy quick afterwards. I initially made a reservation for 2/6 (the day before his birthday). An assistant manager, Madeline, called me to inquire about my son's interests. I could tell she was planning something special for him! He had started the latest round of chemo the day before (2/5) and was not feeling well enough to go out the next day. The general manager, George, called me and left me a voicemail indicating that he'd like to bring fondue *to us* at no charge. I wasn't able to get back to him right away but instead I stopped in on Wednesday and was able to speak to him. I thanked him for his offer but asked if we could come in the next day instead. My son had stuffed animals, a balloon, and a newspaper of the things that happened on his birthday waiting for him when he arrived. Our server, Katie, made my son feel like royalty. The owner and general manager covered our meal and we used the money we would've spent to go to Dave and Busters afterward. There was a dj playing some great Drake, to get pumped for his upcoming concert, and 90’s throwback hits. It was quite a scene and as the night went on it turned into a packed party. We were lucky to arrive when we did because the seating here is very casual, first come first serve and there aren’t a ton of tables. We started off with espresso yo self and aviation cocktails which were delicious! And we decided to try a few different menu items since it was our first time trying their food. The duck fat popcorn was tasty and had the right amount of truffle salt, the duck fat def gave it a more deluxe flavor. It was the perfect amount to snack on. The sweet potato hummus was probably the best thing we had. It had perfect ratios of sweet potato and chick peas and the pepitas and candied walnuts were awesome toppings. I will order this again and again. Finally, the nachos with grilled chicken were also good. The queso was home made and there were a generous portion of toppings, chicken included.This is a beautifully designed space and you can go back and forth between Hartmans and Resurgence which is cool to get 2 spots in 1. They distill all their liquor and make some delicious high end cocktails. One of their specialties is Loganberry flavored vodka, cocktails and their own seltzer. Overall a great time and we will be back soon.”

The owner made me reservations for 6pm, Once we got there we were disappointed, there was nowhere to park "nowhere" and the place looked like a hole in the wall. We were gonna leave, but we decided to stay. Once in the owner was very welcoming, it was a little of a wait for our food order, but we didn't mine. Once the food came out Everything was amazing, my friends were not pleased with the yams, because we were told everything was made from scratch and they felt that the yams was fromout the can, I didn't have yams, but i did order greens and they had ran and she replaced them with string beans, which was good, other then that, everything turned out good and yes I will return one day.”

Our service was attentive and friendly. The drinks were well balanced and priced well. I had the grapefruit Cosmo which sounds odd but it was refreshing and balanced. I had the fish fry which was a LARGE piece of fish with Cole slaw and pasta salad. Normally, the sides are kind of an afterthought. Not here. Both had flavor, freshness and weren’t put in those little paper side cups. The fry batter stayed on and you could actually eat both and the batter at the same time. I have found in Buffalo that oftentimes the batter doesn’t adhere and you eat just plain fish…not my favorite. My partner had the burge and she told me the beef actually had flavor. She asked for medium well and got it. Usually when you ask for medium well you either get medium and well done. Hers was cooked just right. My other friend got the shrimp and grits. It was huge. She actually got about 6-8 ( I didn’t count) but knew it wasn’t four which a lot of times is the standard. The were good sized and she finished the entire dish which is unusual for her. She was t was delicious. Another person for the rack of lamb and he said it was phenomenal. Truthfully I was talking so much I didn’t pay attention to the other food at the table lol. During the meal a gentleman came over and asked how our meal was and we all commented that it was great! He seemed very happy and thanked us for coming and would enjoy seeing us again. We stayed and had drinks right up until closing and never felt rushed. The bar still had patrons that I am sure are regulars and everyone seemed to be having a great time. One of the owners came over and and how we had heard of them and I told her that I used Google and Yelp and they had gotten great reviews! She went on to tell us about their great patio and to be sure and use their parking lot as well. As you are are aware parking at a restaurant in Buffalo can be challenging. Having a parking lot is a premium! We can’t wait to enjoy the patio this summer but will go back again for dinner and drinks before then! It is a hearty soup that is perfect for a cold day(or any day). I also had a 2X Grilled Cheese with Cheddar and Pepperjack cheeses. It was a warm, cheesy mouthful of delight, with each bite. My husband had the French Onion soup, which he entirely enjoyed, coupled with a roast beef on kimmelweck. “Today, was the very first time for my stopping by there, to taste their ribs. Unfortunately, they were out of the ribs, but assured that they would be back in stroke, with them, at 5pm. They allowed me to taste test some of their pulled pork, and it was SO GOOD that I had to buy some. I have NO DOUBT, whatsoever, that their ribs will hold the same 'chef-manship' as their pulled pork. This father and son team not only work such magic at the grill, but are - both - very pleasant individuals, to boot.”

The woman who runs the place was generous enough to give us mango lassis as Eidi too (complimentary) that made our experience even better! The restaurant was clean and well decorated! We ordered a medium level of spice, and while personally for someone who cannot deal with spices I would prefer mild (I would recommend this if someone does not want spicy food), my friends did quite enjoy it! I really really enjoyed the naans and parathas! The food tasted great but due to my spice intolerance I could not enjoy it as much, but the raita and chutney certainly helped! The lassis, especially the mango lassi, were cool, sweet and refreshing. I would definitely love to come here again! After 25 mins of no one being waited on, everyone at the bar got up and left. others at the door, waiting to come in saw this too and joined the crowd of people heading to a different restaurant. It was a nice space with a decent amount of seating inside wrapped around the counter. Smelled delightful with all the blends of coffee and teas inside too! Since I’m not a big coffee drinker, I got a tea instead, specifically the Adeni Chai. It was a black tea mix with cardamom and nutmeg, which was something different for me, but I enjoyed. The main thing I came for was this treat that they called Honeycomb, which is a traditional Yemeni pastry. It was filled with cream cheese and had honey drizzled on top. They break apart into these little balls and it was so yummy. Definitely recommend checking this out if nothing else. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I enjoyed sitting in the shop and doing some quality people watching while I enjoyed my tea. Got a couple treats to-go as well, so I’ll have to update this review after I have those.”
