“Went for a Sunday brunch and got the Huevos Rancheros and was pleasantly surprised by how good and delicious it was. I also had the Gypsy Juice as my beverage, along with some Pastelitos (beef) shared for the table. Those were just OK to me and I've had better elsewhere. My party and I sat outside for a nice day out on the patio and some people watching, and despite being the only ones out there while we were dining, we still had great service from our server.“

“A delightful and might I say NECESSARY vessel for the moodier moods of Buffalo.
When it gets busy the space can easily feel crowded, so I prefer to go during the week when it's quieter- there is a small patio area in the front with a few chairs and tables that's nice to go out to though, especially in warm weather. The only thing I would like to see improved is the menu website, which is difficult to read and not the easiest to navigate on my mobile device.

Other than that, The Merry Shelley is a great little spot. There's something cathartic about sitting beside the big bay window and sharing absinthe in the moody glow while you watch the snow gently fall for what feels like the thousandth time this winter. Depeche Mode may or may not be playing, and either way that's a good thing.“

“Augie’s is a must-visit for burger lovers! Juicy, flavorful burgers made with high-quality ingredients and perfectly cooked every time. “I’m so glad I stumbled upon Duende during a quick trip to Buffalo. Tucked away in an industrial stretch where you’d never expect to find such a lively bar scene, it turned out to be a real gem. Gabriel, the bartender, was incredibly warm and attentive, and the mix of locals and live musicians gave the place a cozy, lived‑in charm. The food was genuinely good, too. A wonderful surprise all around.“

“John is such an amazing guy! Stopped in last night and had drinks with friends and people who quickly became friends. Very cool atmosphere.“
“Cool buffalo relic of the past. Older crowd, cheap pricing and a small parking lot out back. Went in at 9pm on a Saturday and it was just two patrons and the bar was ready to close by 10. But they open at 8am. Super clean facility especially for how much history it has.“
“Overall a great bar, great atmosphere! The bartenders love pouring “Mud Bombs” . If you like to be serenaded by music just play One in a Million you by larry graham on the jukebox and sit back and enjoy the show. If you’re even luckier play I wanna Know by Joe and some bearded guy with salmon shorts and a flamingo button down will sing you sweet little nothings in your ear, may even compliment you!“

“Went there for st. Patrick’s day. Couldn’t be more pleased. We had a reservation and got seated immediately. Service was fast and friendly and the food was out of this world. I think I’d sell my soul for more sticky toffee pudding. If you want an idea of their service I watched a man straight up slap a glass of beer out of the waitresses hands (he was a hand talker and it was an accident) and into the wall. She was super kind about it and someone (a manger or owner) came over and immediately changed out everything and cleaned everything up while the server got a new beer. Everyone was kind and quick about it and had I not happened to catch it out of the corner of my eye. they were so discrete Idt I would have. As a table we tried the Sheppards fries, the corned beef and cabbage, corned beef sandwich and sticky toffee pudding and all were incredible. Definitely will be back!“
