“I alway enjoy whatever cocktail I get from Ballyhoo, and my last visit there was no different. One of the best bars in town in my opinion with very reasonably priced drinks and excellent customer service. Not a very large bar space, but definitely worth checking out. They do serve a limited food menu as well, but I have not tried any yet.“

“Visited for the first time with my mom on 1/31/26. Friendly, hard working host sat us within 10 minutes. We ordered a drink at the bar and chatted with the bartender, he was fluent in the menu and preparations. Our server was equally informative, she was very busy, only wished we had a bit more attention but, it was a busy Saturday. We ordered the Meatloaf Tower and the Shrimp and Scallop dinners. Both were very good, served with warm bread, salad and side. Meatloaf was a bit dense but good, Shrimp and Scallops were cooked to perfection in a garlicky butter and the vegetables with that dish were outstanding.“

“Everytime I go here the food, drinks and atmosphere are amazing. I figured I’d take the time to finally make a review because last night we had such an awesome interaction with staff. There was a slight miscommunication that led to a delay in food. We were having so much fun that we didn’t even notice, but the staff were apologetic and kind in getting it to us.

“Stopped in to get some food because the kids were hungry. I went in by myself first to make sure it was a family friendly place. The bartender was also the cook for the day and she assured me it was fine and seated us in the back. The food was fantastic and she was very efficient and friendly. The kids loved it and it was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had in a long time“

“A step below a dive bar, but I didn't go for the ambience. The beef on weck was outstanding. So much so that I went back again the following week. One member of our party felt the same way about the wings. I may never get to try them because it's like going to Grover's and ordering anything other than a cheeseburger. They are so damn good, you can't pass it up. Of course next time I guess I can get the beef on weck and the wings. Both servers were first rate, attentive, personable and professional. And don't get me started with the beer prices or they might decide to raise them..“

“I had my daughter's birthday party at Northtown center during an open skate on short notice. The Skybox owner was very accommodating, and set us up in their private party room for pizza and cake. It overlooks the main ice rink which was great. The staff was very helpful and the pizza and wings were tasty. Thanks again!“

“Very disappointed in the duck soup. I have been eating it for years and the last batch I purchased at the Polish Festival had carrots in it!! Too thick and gray.Must be someone new making it. When I asked about the carrots, they said they've been doing it like that for years. Huh?!“

“Went there before a play for dinner at Shea's Buffalo. This place is on the Chippewa bar strip, so we were not expecting much. Walking inside, it looks like a typical party/cocktail bar, brick walls, long bar, and tables opposite the bar with plastic chairs and Formica tables, so you are sitting in the bar. At 5:30PM on restaurant week before a nearby playing of Hamilton, we were the only diner's there (and only 4 others at the bar). Now the good part.... one of the best meals I have had in a long time!!!!! Waitress/bartender was prompt, attentive and friendly. The special for restaurant week that we had was $35 for soup/salad (I had soup), Duck with asparagus, yams, sprouts and and pie for dessert. This meal was fabulous! Perfect portion and perfect flavor. The caramel/peanut butter pie was luscious! On top of all this, we were there during happy hour, so $3 a beer. I highly recommend trying this place to eat, just don't expect a cozy, intimate atmosphere. You won't be disappoints, and you won't be broke.“

“Got stranded at Christmas 2022. This hotel staff is absolutely amazing!! Very accommodating, super helpful. Other hotels are running out of food and these guys are making breakfast and a dinner for everyone. It’s truly an amazing crew. They are stranded with us and dealing with all the stress yet have a smile on their face!! A can not recommend this place enough, just because of the staff. “Our family had Easter Brunch at Jack Rabbit and we were all very impressed, the service was excellent! Everything was served in a timely manner (even with it being very busy) our food was hot and delicious! We all had different entrees from Eggs Benedict, Steak & Eggs, Turkey Benedict, Pancakes and we all agreed that the Breakfast Pizza was the BEST we have ever had oh and don’t forget the Tater Tots! “The WD restaurant is only open for dinner. We shared the shrimp appetizer which is probably the best shrimp I've had. There were 6 but they were huge. The salad is big enough for 2 people to share. I ordered the lobster tail which came with asparagus & I also ordered the mashed garlic potatoes which were amazing! My lobster tail was so good and tender. It's served with melted butter and one other dip that was amazing! My husband had a steak and he said it was a little tough. There is also a bread tray that comes with three different butters to use. We were able to walk right in but reservations are recommended. The restaurant is on the second floor and there is an elevator if necessary.“
