I loved the pizza hand-rolled logs and the wings. I also tried to beef on weck, which wasn’t my favorite but it was my first time and it might just not be my type of dish. “I alway enjoy whatever cocktail I get from Ballyhoo, and my last visit there was no different. One of the best bars in town in my opinion with very reasonably priced drinks and excellent customer service. Not a very large bar space, but definitely worth checking out. They do serve a limited food menu as well, but I have not tried any yet.“

“We had our diaper party here and can’t say enough great things about the experience we had and the staff that helped us. From the very beginning Scott, Beth and the rest of the staff were kind, helpful and very professional. We had been coming here long before it was 16 Ellicott and have to say how great the inside looks, how nice the staff is, how good the food still is even after the ownership change. If you’re looking to host a small party, go out to eat or even meet friends for a drink this is the spot!! We so appreciate everyone who helped make our party such a fun day!“

“A step below a dive bar, but I didn't go for the ambience. The beef on weck was outstanding. So much so that I went back again the following week. One member of our party felt the same way about the wings. I may never get to try them because it's like going to Grover's and ordering anything other than a cheeseburger. They are so damn good, you can't pass it up. Of course next time I guess I can get the beef on weck and the wings. Both servers were first rate, attentive, personable and professional. And don't get me started with the beer prices or they might decide to raise them..“

“Pasta was overcooked. Sauce was sour. Had to ask for grated cheese twice before we got it. Same with water. The restaurant and bar were very busy but no excuse for the disorganization we experienced. Probably won't go back as Buffalo has many Italian restaurants with better food, atmosphere and prices. “I went to raintree yesterday for the first time and I will definitely be back to try the food! I just went for a few drinks with a friend and I have to say the bartender was so friendly and welcoming. We chatted for a bit and had a few laughs. The people that sat next to us ended up being very sociable and had some great conversations. Its nice to know you can walk into a place and be treated like you been a regular. “Oh man where do I start. Over the years I've had a few really good fish dinners but this one by far was the 'best' ! They say don't judge a book by its cover, well the same goes for the building. Cozy inside and the staff is nice and friendly. I believe the fish dinner was only $14.00 and there was plenty. Hey I just realize something , there was no bread or a roll ! Stuff to have it all. “Stopped in while in town for a football game as we were staying just around the corner. Wings and burger were great as was the service. The music they were playing was not great and probably why they weren't real busy. Might have been a patrons choice but it was downright horrible music and way too loud to carry on a conversation. Definitely not family friendly.“

“I had my daughter's birthday party at Northtown center during an open skate on short notice. The Skybox owner was very accommodating, and set us up in their private party room for pizza and cake. It overlooks the main ice rink which was great. The staff was very helpful and the pizza and wings were tasty. Thanks again!“

“Very disappointed in the duck soup. I have been eating it for years and the last batch I purchased at the Polish Festival had carrots in it!! Too thick and gray.Must be someone new making it. When I asked about the carrots, they said they've been doing it like that for years. Huh?!“

“Went there before a play for dinner at Shea's Buffalo. This place is on the Chippewa bar strip, so we were not expecting much. Walking inside, it looks like a typical party/cocktail bar, brick walls, long bar, and tables opposite the bar with plastic chairs and Formica tables, so you are sitting in the bar. At 5:30PM on restaurant week before a nearby playing of Hamilton, we were the only diner's there (and only 4 others at the bar). Now the good part.... one of the best meals I have had in a long time!!!!! Waitress/bartender was prompt, attentive and friendly. The special for restaurant week that we had was $35 for soup/salad (I had soup), Duck with asparagus, yams, sprouts and and pie for dessert. This meal was fabulous! Perfect portion and perfect flavor. The caramel/peanut butter pie was luscious! On top of all this, we were there during happy hour, so $3 a beer. I highly recommend trying this place to eat, just don't expect a cozy, intimate atmosphere. You won't be disappoints, and you won't be broke.“

Everything was served in a timely manner (even with it being very busy) our food was hot and delicious! “Got stranded at Christmas 2022. This hotel staff is absolutely amazing!! Very accommodating, super helpful. Other hotels are running out of food and these guys are making breakfast and a dinner for everyone. It’s truly an amazing crew. They are stranded with us and dealing with all the stress yet have a smile on their face!! A can not recommend this place enough, just because of the staff. “Honestly, I don't know anything about the current Papa Joe's -- I have lived in New York City for 45 years and haven't even visited Buffalo in 13 years --- but Papa Joe's is important to me because it once belonged to my grandfather, who established a bar there. I don't know exactly when it was established, but it was already in operation in 1910 and he owned it through Prohibition, and passed away in 1935. My father was actually born upstairs - over 100 years ago! The bar has been in operation, under various ownership, for more than 100 years!! That's something, I think! I grew up on Randolph Ave.“
