“First time in the area for a Bills game- From Toronto, Ontario..was trying to find a place that was open for some food for after the game. Stumbled upon Kettles. We called from the car asking if we could do an order for pick up. They initially said they usually don’t do that on game nights and prefer people to dine-in. We mentioned that we were driving back to Toronto that night- agreed to make the wings and could pick them up in 20minutes.Did not realize they were a cash only and explained that I didn’t know if my bank card would work in their atm being from Canada- the lady that I was dealing with offered that I could venmo her the amount (Canada doesn’t have venmo) ATM worked. Wings were paid for. Service was great. Staff was very friendly. Wings were AMAZING. Will be a for sure stop every time I’m back on American soil.“

“The Byrd House is a reflection of how I remembered the establishment from when I fist moved to OP. Very Friendly, can come alone or with group. Always welcome, hometown feel. Long bar area on one side and dining on the other. Good cooks with delicious menu! My first choice of where to go to relax. Thank You.“

“Husband and I ventured here after dinner to grab a couple drinks before heading home. The bartender was attentive, informative, and very welcoming. Don’t remember her name, she was getting ready to leave from the day shift Saturday. We were waiting for our Uber in the parking lot when she left and even checked to make sure we were ok. This place is now on our list of places we like to frequent.“

“Went there before a play for dinner at Shea's Buffalo. This place is on the Chippewa bar strip, so we were not expecting much. Walking inside, it looks like a typical party/cocktail bar, brick walls, long bar, and tables opposite the bar with plastic chairs and Formica tables, so you are sitting in the bar. At 5:30PM on restaurant week before a nearby playing of Hamilton, we were the only diner's there (and only 4 others at the bar). Now the good part.... one of the best meals I have had in a long time!!!!! Waitress/bartender was prompt, attentive and friendly. The special for restaurant week that we had was $35 for soup/salad (I had soup), Duck with asparagus, yams, sprouts and and pie for dessert. This meal was fabulous! Perfect portion and perfect flavor. The caramel/peanut butter pie was luscious! On top of all this, we were there during happy hour, so $3 a beer. I highly recommend trying this place to eat, just don't expect a cozy, intimate atmosphere. You won't be disappoints, and you won't be broke.“

“lol this place isn’t “allen st bar & grill” or whatever, it’s The Pink. and i’ve heard their food is great (never eaten there because i’m a vegetarian). but one time when i was there i asked if there was any vegetarian food & the bartender served me some pickles, which was great. and drinks are cheap. great place to end a fun buffalo night. also if you’re a femme, you’ll make temporary best friends in the women’s bathroom every time. can you even say you’re a buffalonian if you haven’t been to The Pink? no. the answer is no.“

Delicious homemade salads, nice size fish (offered breaded or battered), great fries and some rye bread and butter to boot!Nice, clean eating area with a friendly waitress Becky! So nice and attentive!You will make this your regular Friday night fish fry. I see they do to go orders as well!“

“This is a small corner bar. The bartenders stay on top of your drinks! They have pool tables, darts & a jukebox. They sometimes have live bands or a dj. They do serve food as well. I recommend the cheeseburgers & frys! If your in the area check it out!“

“Been coming to Carte Blanche for about a year now periodically while in the area for work. Always make a point to stop by every time I'm in town. Food is great and a good value for the quality. Bartenders are knowledgeable and will go out of their way whether making a drink from their rotating menu for whatever you are in the mood for. Delaney is one of my favorite bartenders and is always willing to help with selections if you want something outside of the menu options.“

“I alway enjoy whatever cocktail I get from Ballyhoo, and my last visit there was no different. One of the best bars in town in my opinion with very reasonably priced drinks and excellent customer service. Not a very large bar space, but definitely worth checking out. They do serve a limited food menu as well, but I have not tried any yet.“

“A friend and I visited this bar and we were greeted and served by one of the nicest bar staff I have ever encountered, impeccable service and some good, friendly chat the visit was then topped off with what my friend described as "The Best wings I've ever had".Cannot recommend this place enough if you are lucky enough to find yourself here.“

“Very disappointed in the duck soup. I have been eating it for years and the last batch I purchased at the Polish Festival had carrots in it!! Too thick and gray.Must be someone new making it. When I asked about the carrots, they said they've been doing it like that for years. Huh?!“

“The bartenders Sheri was amazing! Made everything so fun and made me the greatest Ham club sub around, normally don’t eat at little bars like this but she changed my mind about little pubs . She made the atmosphere so light and fun. First time there and it was so welcoming. Make sure you go in when she’s there . You won’t be disappointed.“

Vegetarian options: There weren't a lot of options for veggie eaters, but that could be because of the menu selected. That what I could eat was good.“

“Got stranded at Christmas 2022. This hotel staff is absolutely amazing!! Very accommodating, super helpful. Other hotels are running out of food and these guys are making breakfast and a dinner for everyone. It’s truly an amazing crew. They are stranded with us and dealing with all the stress yet have a smile on their face!! A can not recommend this place enough, just because of the staff. “I wish I could rate this higher but to be honest as a non smoker I couldn't get past the cigarette smell in the restaurant which I honestly believe may have impacted the taste of the food to me. Our server was amazing and she was very attentive. I had the scallops and risotto which was okay, for me the risotto was a bit undercooked. I also had the oysters which were amazing.“
