“We met the guy Greg at another restaurant told me Unc about the cooking spot finally visited today. We purchased the Haddock and Red velvet waffle. Place is cleaned and respectfully served. They even threw the Ted hot sauce, water, and other things to go. The time frame is good safe hours open and close. We will be back to show more support and will tell others.“

“Great first day at Spotted Octopus in Rochester! Loved the beer, food and especially the service. The new systems threw the team a few curveballs, but the staff kept their cool and made customer satisfaction the #1 focus. Opening on parade day proved to be the perfect pressure test and they definitely succeeded.“

“I came for the matcha on tap and was not disappointed. As a tea drinker there are not many places to find a good matcha. I purchased the iced pistachio matcha and it was amazing. Their summer bun with homemade plum jam was also very tasty. If you are a vegan, there are plenty of options. I will definitely be coming back at least once a week. The staff was very personable.“

“Decent food and beer. The menu is mostly pub fair but they had a few interesting surprises, like a chicken pot pie. I had the Cobb Salad with chicken and was underwhelmed… maybe a little short on the bacon, but I did enjoy the 2X Milk
Stout. The restaurant is spacious and they have a nice big bar. The beer selection is heavily slanted toward IPAs but that seems to still be the trend. My servers were very attentive without being overbearing. It was a nice experience and I would come back.“

“White Rabbit is an awesome place to have a special dessert with family or on a date. They have an awesome variety of traditional and sensational options. Recently went to the Henrietta, NY location and Brandon was an awesome host that took care of my family. We sat in the front corner booth which was perfect for the kids. “A delightful and might I say NECESSARY vessel for the moodier moods of Buffalo.
When it gets busy the space can easily feel crowded, so I prefer to go during the week when it's quieter- there is a small patio area in the front with a few chairs and tables that's nice to go out to though, especially in warm weather. The only thing I would like to see improved is the menu website, which is difficult to read and not the easiest to navigate on my mobile device.

Other than that, The Merry Shelley is a great little spot. There's something cathartic about sitting beside the big bay window and sharing absinthe in the moody glow while you watch the snow gently fall for what feels like the thousandth time this winter. Depeche Mode may or may not be playing, and either way that's a good thing.“

“I alway enjoy whatever cocktail I get from Ballyhoo, and my last visit there was no different. One of the best bars in town in my opinion with very reasonably priced drinks and excellent customer service. Not a very large bar space, but definitely worth checking out. They do serve a limited food menu as well, but I have not tried any yet.“

“We stopped in on a mid-Saturday morning. We first heard of them via the Buffalo Cafe Passport. It was extremely busy, but the sandwiches were worth the wait. I had a Nina on a pretzel, and the wife had the Ailia on a bagel, both with hash browns on the side, and they were delicious! We also got a Giant Cinnamon Roll to enjoy at home. The coffee is Tipico, a locally roasted brew we have enjoyed before. The next time we come, we will likely come earlier in the morning, and order online first.“

“Got one of their signature drinks the Haraz latte. It was delicious and smooth and I already want to go back and get another one.

The inside of the store is super cute and well decorated. They have extra seating in the back that's kind of hidden if you don't walk back there.

I got the confetti donut holes with cream filling for the staff at Elderwood (& several came to thank me and tell me how great they were). I’ll be going back and I highly suggest you make it there too. I have a very short list of Jersey approved spots in and around the city and Zios crushes every single one of them. It’s been a long time since I’ve had access to anything like my Mimi used to make. There is absolutely no way you can beat the value you're getting out of this spot!
