“We were there late morning on a Tuesday. The waitress Sharon was very friendly. We started with the coffee. It was very good and I don’t normally drink coffee. It was a cold day in December though. Needed something to warm me up. I got their 10yr anniversary skillet. Highly recommend it. It has scrambled eggs, spicy Italian sausage, potatoes, green peppers and mozzarella cheese melted over the top. DELICIOUS! My wife had the #3 which is scrambled eggs, home fries and choice of meat (she chose turkey sausage) with Texas toast. She said it hit the spot. Definitely going back again.“

They always have top notch standards, like chocolate chip and peanut butter, but they also offer creative options like London Fog Lavender cookies or Dubai Chocolate Pistachio brownies. Also amazing gluten free options. The Lunch Box makes one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had.“

“Love, love, love this place! Been here many times and the waffles never disappoint. My only feedback would be is that they don't have 2% milk, which is always a preferred milk at a coffee house. Awesome quaint little place tho!“

“I came for the matcha on tap and was not disappointed. As a tea drinker there are not many places to find a good matcha. I purchased the iced pistachio matcha and it was amazing. Their summer bun with homemade plum jam was also very tasty. If you are a vegan, there are plenty of options. I will definitely be coming back at least once a week. The staff was very personable.“

“Best coffeeshop on Hertel I’ve tried and the employees aren’t snobs when you ask to customize your order. Fresh baked bagels in-house and various cream cheese flavors. They also cater to vegetarians if you need those options. Overall glad I stopped and checked this place out. Will come visit again and highly recommend!!!“

“I had such a wonderful breakfast here. Everything was fresh and packed with flavor, making for the perfect start to my day.

The bagel sandwiches were served warm and wrapped in foil, which kept them in great shape. I also picked up a baked good that had a perfect, toasted texture. It is easy to see why this spot is a favorite in the neighborhood. I will definitely be back soon.“

“My best friend and I had the privilege of meeting these two wonderful women in Toronto after a concert. We had no cell service to call a taxi to bring us back to our Air BNB and kept getting wrong directions from everyone. We had stopped them to ask if they knew where to pick up a taxi, and instead of giving us the run around, like everyone else, they gave us a ride to our Air Bnb an hour out of their way with no hesitation. And for that they will always have 2 new customers for life, and anytime anyone we know goes to Buffalo we will recommend they visit their establishment. We couldn’t have been more grateful for them, their character alone tells me what kind of business they run! Please everyone tell a friend to tell a friend about their business. “Green Eats Kitchen and Juice Bar now open at the Statler Cafe at the Martin House. We enjoyed delicious, healthy eats in a beautiful environment at the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Martin house. A friendly staff and peaceful, welcoming environment (and you don't have to have a house ticket to enjoy the cafe's drinks and food).“

“The raspberry chip latte with oat milk was amazing. Sometimes people don’t do oat milk the best but this was fabulous. I had the veggie quiche, spinach, pepper, caramelized onion and Navarro cheese. Paired with the mixed greens of arugula, spinach and tomato slice and a dash of balsamic and oil was really great. I wouldn’t say it was the perfectly made quiche but it was amazingly good!! “Currently at Children’s Hospital giving birth, and I ordered lunch from Globe Delivery. They surprised me with two complimentary slices of carrot cake along with a handwritten note that said “Congrats,” which was such a thoughtful and kind gesture. The rest of the food was fresh and delicious.“
