“Went there for st. Patrick’s day. Couldn’t be more pleased. We had a reservation and got seated immediately. Service was fast and friendly and the food was out of this world. I think I’d sell my soul for more sticky toffee pudding. If you want an idea of their service I watched a man straight up slap a glass of beer out of the waitresses hands (he was a hand talker and it was an accident) and into the wall. She was super kind about it and someone (a manger or owner) came over and immediately changed out everything and cleaned everything up while the server got a new beer. Everyone was kind and quick about it and had I not happened to catch it out of the corner of my eye. they were so discrete Idt I would have. As a table we tried the Sheppards fries, the corned beef and cabbage, corned beef sandwich and sticky toffee pudding and all were incredible. Definitely will be back!“

“I’m so glad I stumbled upon Duende during a quick trip to Buffalo. Tucked away in an industrial stretch where you’d never expect to find such a lively bar scene, it turned out to be a real gem. Gabriel, the bartender, was incredibly warm and attentive, and the mix of locals and live musicians gave the place a cozy, lived‑in charm. The food was genuinely good, too. A wonderful surprise all around.“

“The food was awesome; you can tell a great chef starts with the best ingredients. First, the bread and focaccia were perfectly “croccante.” The tuna carpaccio and branzino were delicate and flavorful, and the sides of Utica greens and potatoes were also better accompaniments than you can get anywhere. “I showed up at 1030, an hour early on a Sunday. I read online you should arrive 30-60 minutes before opening. I was the first one there and sat by myself until 11:15. In the last 15 minutes before opening I think probably 20 more People showed up. By 1145 the restaurant was full and there was a line outside. When we left around 1230 there were a lot of people outside waiting and im sure many more who were walking around the nearby stores waiting for the text that their table was ready.
The restaurant is a tight squeeze but it is worth it. Our server was great. Checked on us many times. Very friendly. I would recommend grabbing a table on the deck or toward the front of the bar. We sat in the back and there is not much room and a lot of traffic from the kitchen and bathroom.
Food was excellent. I see why they are constantly called the best wings in Buffalo. We got the medium and the cajun-honeybutter-bbq. They are large wings and came out extra crispy. We also got a side of the fried cheese curds which were garlicy and awesome.
I dont have a bad thing to say except one of the cooks (who was very nice) was wearing a Ravens hat. Besides that everything was great and I cant wait to go back.“

“We came a few Saturdays ago and it was busy. We were told 25 min wait but it was an hour. Was a little frustrating but the service and food once seated made up for it. Our server was beyond great and I noticed the rest of the staff was so helpful and worked as a team, bussing tables and filling drinks. Our food was great and we felt the bill was very reasonable for two adults and two kids with 2 alcoholic drinks it was only about $100.Highly recommend!“
