“My car fell apart while I was driving through upstate New York and I ended up at Jokers. It seemed like fate brought us together. Chapter 2: The foodThe food was pretty good! Look at that pizza. Look at how it glows in the moonlight. Let its aroma wash over you in an awesome wave. Tasty stuff. Chapter 3: The ambiancePretty good! Lotta people lurking around. Some work there. Some just eat there. I was part of the latter crowd. This place takes US currency and most forms of credit card. Chapter 4: The endAll told, I think that Jokers is the place for you if you find yourself in the area. I don't know you too well, but I know you well enough to know that if you are still reading this drivel, you could do with a trip to Jokers. REST IN PEACE car. You failed me, but Jokers didn't.“

“Fun place with super nice staff and a great selection of brews! You "rent" a card per person with your credit card on entry. Grab a fresh glass and select and pour your own brew choice - whether an ounce or a full glass. A selection of wines and hard ciders were also available. Atmosphere is very casual and there is a lot of outdoor seating available in better weather. Food was good - pub style choices.Kid-friendliness: Not a place for kids, although I'm sure they are welcome...“

“Service on a late Monday afternoon was fast and easygoing. Free open wifi (no password, so use your VPN, and sense), great atmosphere (even the restrooms have character), in a charming part of town (gotta love Allentown).Burger came fairly rare, so be sure to specify how you want it cooked if you're not into a lot of pink. Very flexible on how to prepare, and no problem getting the sauce on the side. Lena D. was great.Great beer and whiskey selection! Superb variety. When I wasn't sure what beer to try next, they offered a few samples to try based on my stated tastes. They even have a cheaper little 5 oz pour available for draft beers.Of course, you pay a premium for this level of quality. Impress the partners when you take them out for dinner and drinks (just uber/lyft to and from).Vegetarian options: Impossible burgers and other options for vegetarian dinners, and some things vegan to order.Parking: Good luck finding a spot on the street.Wheelchair accessibility: Good entry and thrupath for wheelchair and scooter. “Had a really great experience here. If you like seafood, you have to try the Filetto di Bronzino. The dish was huge, and every aspect of the dish was completely amazing. I don't normally like tomatoes and olives, and I'm not the biggest fan of asparagus, however it was all delicious thanks to the white wine & lemon sauce. The sauce brought everything together like gravy on Thanksgiving. The fish and the mashed potatoes were out of this world, and I was especially impressed with how well everything in the dish went together. Olives and tomatoes, asparagus and olives, mashed potatoes and bass: no matter what you combine on your fork, it was amazing. A year ago my wife and I were enjoying seafood in Aruba, and this dish really took me back there. It cost $38 but I would have paid double. The waitress was really nice and attentive.“

“The exact embodiment of an Irish Pub you'd imagine if someone asked you to think of the ideal Irish pub, except without the stereotype redhead with green eyes at the door. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food was decent, drinks served fast, and probably the best spot to take a date on Saint Paddy's (which I failed to do).Edit to add: each time I've been by here, Megan has been hostess/server. She's great! Instantly personable, relatable, a delight. If you can afford to spend a bit, the Banshee is really the best little spot to hang out. The charm of the space, and the staff, makes each visit deeply satisfying.Parking: There are a number of paid parking lots and paid parking garages in the area, but it's smack in the middle of downtown, so expect to pay for your time there. Ride services and cabs are ideal anyway, to prevent bad judgement after a few pints. To be honest, parking right in front of the building on Franklin St is *supposed* to be city street parking with meters, but some ppl have said they park there constantly and never pay anything (at least not in the afternoon/evening). Your call if you want to risk it. You can also pay $30 for the lot next door, if you really need some peace of mind.Wheelchair accessibility: Although the upper floors won't be accessible, the ground floor doors are accessibly wide and swing light on their hinges. The bathrooms can be a little snug to get thru the doors, but there are of course accessible stalls when thru those.“

“Misuta Chow’s is a unique, super cool and fun Japanese street food and cocktail bar downtown. The food and cocktails are delicious and there is an arcade upstairs as well as a glittery pink staircase which is famous for photos. Since this space does so many things there is somewhat limited seating for dining. If you want to try the food I’d recommend getting a reservation or you can also try your luck for bar seating, which is first come first served. We were in the area and had not planned dinner so we decided to pop in and got lucky with some bar seats. We ordered Sesame noodles, Shio ramen and Yakitori skewers donburi bowl. The sesame noodles was a cold noodle dish, highly recommended by a friend. The flavor was light and delicious with a healthy helping of sesame oil. The ramen was wonderful. They prob have my favorite ramen in the area. Light and flavorful broth, perfectly cooked pork belly, noodles with the perfect amount of chew and some crunchy baby corn, bok choy and scallion for freshness. Finally the yakitori skewer bowl which combined chicken thighs in a bowl of rice, and pickled veggies. The chicken had a wonderful glaze, was juicy and perfectly cooked. And the pickled veggies were a perfect way to balance out the meal.Service was great but I will point out that this place gets packed. We did not feel ignored by the staff but sometimes it took a little while to get their attention which is completely understandable. We enjoyed people watching while we waited for our check. We have been here before and have enjoyed everything else we sampled on their unique menu. They also offer some neat cocktails which are pretty reasonably priced. This place is neat and we are lucky to have it here. Stop in and experience something new!“

“What a delightfully unexpected treat!Italian outside of the immediate NYC area is always a little uncertain, but honestly I couldn't have been happier with this absolute gem.For starters, our waitress was a peach, very boisterous and absolutely delightful, quick and yet still apologized for the non-existent delay, and super helpful. She gave great advice and pointed out something on the menu I missed, which I ended up ordering (the lasagna). The food was absolutely fantastic. This is hands down one of the best marinara sauces I've ever had, and if my aunt heard that she'd kill me for it. Also, though it was unusual for an American restaurant, paying for the bread service was genuinely worth it. Tasty bread with some garlic rolls that were absolutely incredible. The prices were truly very good - not the best I've ever seen, but for the quality and quantity of food I would never feel bad paying it.The only bad part about this restaurant is that I'm not local to it and therefore I don't know if I'll ever be able to make it back! “I fear leaving this review because I don't want the place ruined I loved it so much. Step back in time without all the pretension to a classic hometown bar. The owner Greg was bartending and filled us in on the history of the place having closed in the 80s until he opened up in the 2000s. There's no having to pretend to be old timey, the vinyl on the bar, the stools, and the walls covered in Utica Club and Schlitz is authentic to the place. We went for the Tom & Jerry's and I have to say they are one of the best in town, unlike a lot of places though they aren't pushing out big batches of the batter so you want to get there early to make sure you don't miss out! They serve them until new years. We weren't there long before the friendly patrons offered to get us a shot, everyone was so inviting and made us feel so welcome. Greg too. “Always a nice start when the chips and salsa are good. Chips were thick with a good crunch.Server was friendly and knew the menu and was able to give recommendations. Got a simple choose 2, pablano and relleno. Both look good and tasted good. Beef went well with the pablano. Would eat again.“

“Every single time. Every time! We have the best food, best service, best experience. It is the perfect escape for lunch and dinner. You can tell I’m obsessed. The pineapple habanero, the quesadillas, THE FISH TACO! And duh, margs, top shelf, top experience, Grace Anne is my FAVORITE part. I can’t say enough about this place. If you need to ask, don’t- just go.“

“Honestly one of the greatest bar experiences I’ve had. Wings were ??? and the service was excellent. The owner Mr. Glinski is a prized gem of Kaisertown… With his new burger additions to the menu, they’re sure to be a hit; they were with my group! The drinks were super affordable and delicious but not as tasty as the bartender???“

“As a middle-aged dude for whom sleep has replaced sex as the ultimate goal in life, this place has reinvigorated me. Met some friends here for drinks and had a great time. Emily the bartender was on point all night. A brilliant host, her sarcasm and wit were superior to mine, which pissed me off at first but eventually I conceded defeat. Worth every penny. Will definitely be returning as often as I can! Also, they have dart boards!“

“Of course we picked a bandits game to visit this restaurant/bar. We were immediately greeted at the door and at that time the place was still not too busy. Tables were nice and clean, and some tunes playing in the place. Ordered a cheese pizza (cause what kid can say no to cheese pizza), bbq wings and some fries. Wings were perfectly cooked, great bbq sauce and the best part is they were nice and crispy. Fries, again good portion and cooked nice and crispy. That pizza though, must be cooked in a magic oven. Perfection. Probably one of the better pizzas I've had in a while. This place is not a well kept secret, so come early if there's an event going on.“
