“Culinary Perfection in Buffalo Buffalo is truly privileged to have a dining establishment as exceptional as Lombardo’s. Much like the gridiron perfection we are witnessing from the Buffalo Bills, led by Josh Allen, Lombardo’s delivers a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the realm of fine dining. Everything about this restaurant exudes excellence—from the impeccably crafted dishes to the warm and inviting atmosphere, from the attentive service to the dedication of its ownership. Watching Tom Lombardo and his son Tommy work together this holiday season is a heartwarming sight that reflects the family values and passion behind this establishment. Simply put, Lombardo’s is a place you shouldn’t miss. It’s more than a meal—it’s an experience that defines culinary perfection.“

“What a great restaurant!! The food was phenomenal! I had my birthday dinner at Bella Ciao and I was very impressed. The Lobster Mafalde was loaded with lobster and so delicious. The Rice Balls were out of this world. The Peanut Butter pie was the best I ever had. Also, Casey, the Manager was so accommodating and personable. She just couldn't do enough for us. I just can't wait to go back!! (I am still thinking about the Three Cheese Garlic Bread) The BEST!“

“Angeline's Bucatini Cacio e Pepe was delightfully peppery with a mix of ground peppercorns visible in the sauce- which as a result had a spicier taste than is the dish's norm. If you are looking for underseasoned pasta, stay home. This dish (and my partner's duck also) was quite an ample portion and if I were less of a glutton, I'd say an entree plus a dessert could be potentially enough food for folks coming out on a smaller budget.
The Tuna Carpaccio was so much better than just the sum of its parts, which were: a plate of cool pressed tuna, thinly sliced fennel, fennel fronds, supremed grapefruit and orange segments, capers, and a particularly grassy olive oil. The toppings were few rather than heaped, and the effect of each differently combined bite was subtle and perfect.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the oysters, gem salad (anchovy-forward dressing with a lovely herbal note- dill, chives), rich cheesecake and apple tart (that browned butter!) I loved their mocktail twist on a Cosmopolitan, which used spiced cranberry jam for a mulled effect.
For folks complaining about the prices... it's nice to have restaurants that are reserved for a real treat. The prices are easily accessible online ahead of time, so you know what you're getting into. If a Special is listed at market price, it is your responsibility to ask the waiter how much that would be before ordering.
Some people were wearing nicer casual outfits, but several patrons were more dressed up, which was honestly really cool. I've found restaurant patrons in Buffalo rarely dress up, but it can be fun, adding to the occasion's sense of specialness and adventure!
What I loved just as much as the food was that the dishes come out at a leisurely pace. In America, we've become accustomed to dining at break-neck speed, with wait staff constantly hovering nearby ready to whisk away plates or refill glasses at a moment's notice. Is that really reflective of a luxurious dinner?
Too much of our modern lives is speed-focused and comprised of a million little things and moments all competing for our fleeting attention. It's stressful.
Angeline is the place to sink into the moment. This is a luxury experience, revel in it- embrace the slower European pace of dishes and drinks coming out rather than expecting a new dish minutes after finishing your first. The wait staff are gracious and attentive enough, but retreat to let you own your space. Come to this restaurant with someone with whom you love to talk. Or someone with whom you can relax in companionable, peaceful silence, while other diners clink and chat around you, in the gorgeous ambience of this shining golden room.“

“Great food (I won't shut up about their pizza), great service (everyone is so nice and just want you to eat well)! The prices are so friendly to one's wallet, especially when factoring in how GOOD the food is! Each bite of the various food I'd gotten here had me thinking "This would be $x more somewhere else." Highly recommended. Definitely taking my little family here next time we're in Buffalo!“

“Osteria 166!! Absolutely the best food in Buffalo and our favorite hands down Italian restaurant with the best meatballs I ever had besides my grandma's, that I haven't had since she passed, so these are now the best I can get. The menu is great with something for everyone and whatever you're in the mood for from flatbread pizza to homemade pasta with the most amazing sauces, delicious salads, fantastic steak and the freshest Italian desserts. if you can save room. We have to get them to go home. It's so hard to decide that we get several things and go family style sharing and going around the menu. bravo Nani in the meatballs! they are a must! great friendly service and beautiful atmosphere. sometimes the acoustic music in the bar. what a gem we love walking distance to the theater district, we try to go before shows and park and enjoy the evening starting with the best meal and drinks before a show downtown. Don't think twice about trying this place! make reservations.“

“We recently closed the space for several hours for a private party. Everyone was more than accommodating and all of our guests raved about the food, service and atmosphere!!! We could not have been happier with all of the above!“
“What a great little place for dinner! We went here for a family get together with out of towners on a Monday to use the back room, about 15 people or so. The out of towners wanted our famous Buffalo roast beef on a kimmelwick roll, while kids want pizza ofc, and adults want eggplant, pastas (yes with homemade italian red sauce), steak sandwich, seafood, or chicken & avocado sandwiches. Dont forget the homemade chips and fresh handcut fries!!! Omg yes
Even the apps were delicious! Fried deviled eggs to calamari- amazing and fresh. Even the bread was warm enough to melt the butter when you put it on- right to the table.
If you want Italian food with generous portions that you dont need a small loan for, this is the place. And our cousin Pete is the bartender, amazing accuracy and served quickly (if you have older family members who dont like to wait then you understand). Our server Amy was such an absolute DOLL. We all agreed we were full, fat and happy- so we would be back. And its hard to serve Italian food to Italians- forget about it, they know what they're doing!“

“There aren’t many places left in Buffalo that can take you over 40 years back in time, to when the Italian Festival was on Connecticut Street.
I had to be under 10 the last time i was here , and every single year—like clockwork—one day during the festival it would suddenly rain like crazy. Everyone would scatter, looking for cover. We always ran into this place — a bar/restaurant packed wall to wall with people soaked, drinking beer… me standing there drinking my 25¢ Coke, waiting for the rain to stop so I could get back out to the fun.
Fast forward all these years later…
I found out they’re still open — and walking in felt like stepping into that exact moment. It looks almost exactly the same as it did back then.
I stopped in today and had what might still be the best Italian stuffed shells I’ve ever had. One employee ( named Rosie ) No frills. Just real, historic Italian food and a place that somehow escaped time.
If you’re looking for a true Buffalo throwback, do yourself a favor and check out The Armory Restaurant for lunch, And while you’re there, say hello to Rosie for me ❤️🍝“

“Had the best dinner out in a very long time. Sea Bass special. Not sure I would have ordered it if the dish was written out. Too many things added in that I ultimately didn't know what they were. Not a big pesto fan and the dish came in a bath of creamy green with an odd looking chutney of sorts on top. The green was a fantastic pesto tinged super flavorful sauce and the topping was a grand mix of sweet, savory and nut crunch, a fantastic meal.“

“The service was top notch. From the Reservation Desk, the Maitre' D, our waiter Chris, and all the staff...just excellence in service. Food was fabulous! Cocktail and wine menu are excellent. Truly a 5 star experience! We stopped in for a one night stay at the Delavan and so happy that we chose to dine here.“
“By far the best place to get food on campus, if you love pasta and paninis go here. It's a good option for choosing between healthy or unhealthy food depending on what you create. Ordering is only done through the mobile GET app no other way to get food. Ordering here can be hard, must order during 15 minute interval times. For example if it's 1:26pm the next time they start a new ordering interval is 1:30pm then 1:45pm. People love this place so plan ahead. Paninis are good too for more of the unhealthy options.“

“Okay folks, as a Buffalo transplant (NJ at heart) let me tell you that it has taken almost 15 years to find a local deli that does subs “right”. I have a very short list of Jersey approved spots in and around the city and Zios crushes every single one of them. It’s been a long time since I’ve had access to anything like my Mimi used to make. There is absolutely no way you can beat the value you're getting out of this spot! I triple Diggs dare you to even try to tell me the next closest restaurant around the village or dt that comes close. P.S. for the next curious cat browsing for lunch around here- please disregard the gentleman who left a review stating he still thinks he can get better subs at wegmans. That guy most definitely eats his wings with ranch…and utensils.“

“Although I am typically a traditional cheese and pepperoni pizza eater, I was in the mood for something not so traditional. I decided to try the General Tso pizza. Once again Mustachio's exceeded my expectations. The chicken pieces were meaty and perfectly coated. The sauce was flavorful with just a little 'kick' to it. The crust as always was exceptional. Thank you Mustachio's for making my quest away from the traditional a tasty experience!“

“Students do an excellent job and will be fine additions to any establishment. Before going to the Sabres game, having lunch with the culinary students of ECC. Pear-gorganzola with crispy prosciutto, Osso Bucco veal shanks, limoncello Semifreddo and fresh bread with garlic butter and pesto. Sometimes I'm hesitant to tell you where the good stuff is, because you have to make reservations and I don't want it to get over crowed as it does sometimes 😆“

“I’m looking for authentic NYC style pizza. Buffalo style pizza is terrible. They’ve tried to blend the best of both worlds and you can see it I their crust. They’ve done a great job in blending hometown Buffalo style with NYC. I appreciate the effort! Joes is excellent nonetheless! It comes very close to NYC style pizza for being in Buffalo. I can say they are good and among the places here in Buffalo, they’ve done a great job! Their Stromboli and stuffed pizza is on point as well!“
