“The calamari is, possibly, the best I've ever had. A light, flavourful ... I'm not going to call it a crust because it is much more delicate than that. It's not a breading either. But there is a little something on the outside of the calamari that makes it delicious. The aioli is lovely as well. Chicken schnitzel had a little too much oil on the plate, but the seasoning was spot on and every taste fantastic.“

“I recently visited Buffalo, NY, and my son took me to his favorite Italian restaurant, Mulberry Italian Ristorante. I have to say this place was fantastic! The food was absolutely delicious, with portions that were not just big, but BIG, BIG! Our server was exceptional, always smiling and pleasant, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. However, I now have a bit of a dilemma. The food at Mulberry’s was so good that it ruined my experience at my favorite Italian restaurant back home in Maine for me. The portions there now seem small, and the flavors just don’t compare. I’m genuinely angry at how good Mulberry’s is because now I’ll have to travel 556 miles to get their amazing Chicken Parmigiano or Lasagna. If you’re ever in Buffalo, do yourself a favor and visit Mulberry’s. Just be warned, it might spoil your experience at your current favorite Italian restaurant!“

“Had a Phenomenal dinner and time at Sinatra's. Went there for our 32nd wedding anniversary. My Bride was ecstatic with everything from the drinks through desert. And if she's happy, I'm happy! On another note this was our first time there. I went over to another table where a couple was waiting for the rest of their party. When I inquired what they have had previously their response was "there isn't anything on the menu that we would not like". I believe that would be 100% true after we experienced the quality with just a few dishes... The beverages were excellent too.“

“The food was amazing. Started with the bread (kinda hate having to pay for bread but I get it! And this was good stuff) and shrimp scampi. Followed by two pastas. The food itself was absolutely delicious, light but flavorful and balanced. The short rib ragu was top notch.

One caveat, don't plan on a quick meal. This two course night took almost two hours but was worth it.

“I relocated to Buffalo about a year ago and this place has become one of my favorite for sure. Portions are great, flavor is really good and prices are decent plus service is always great as well. Definitely worth going and also taking food to go or frozen meal (taste just the same as the real thing served on the spot).“

“We recently had our twins college graduation party at Caio Caio and were extremely satisfied with the whole process from scheduling and planning (Gina) to the party itself. The food was delicious and service was exceptional. Nick and his crew were on top of their game!! Everyone had a great time and we received numerous comments on how great everything was, especially the focaccia sandwiches and mini cannolis. We live down the street and will definitely be back soon.

“I’ve been to this little gem in the city several times and each time I was extremely pleased with the food and service. I’ve gone with different people as I felt I just had to introduce them to the Blue Cave. Everyone was amazed at the quality of the food! I have also recommended this restaurant to other friends and they have loved it! I am a huge cheese lover and you can just taste the freshness of the cheeses used. The service was efficient and friendly and I was not lacking for a thing. I enjoyed taking in the view of the downtown area while savoring my delicious wine and meal. I was also pleased to meet the chef and his charming wife who seem to work so hard to make this place a unique dining experience. I would without a doubt highly recommend the Blue Cave! I’m looking forward to my next visit!“

“I have been to each incarnation of this space since Yiannis in the 1980s - Angeline holds its own! Lively (if crowded) bar, beautiful decor and excellent service. Oysters were fresh, cold…delicious. Gem salad terrific. Swordfish alla Putanesca nicely cooked, delicious sauce but…..scrub the clams better. I was so excited to see them, but there were tiny pieces of shell in the sauce. No one wants to pick their teeth at the table. Scrub-a-dub-dub!

“We were visiting the Niagara falls area and stopped in to pick up an all meat pizza and let me tell you it was one of the best pizzas we ever had. We are so picked up a Greek salad that was fabulous and huge enough for three people. Two days later we picked up the antipasto salad and was equally good. They have a diverse menu including calzones and spaghetti dinners. Highly recommend this place for good food.“

“This place is an old school Italian restaurant that has been family owned and operated since it opened in 1946. The building is quite a bit older than that though and served as a movie theater before it became a restaurant. Also, the 1980 James Caan film, Hide in Plain Sight, which took place and was filmed in Buffalo had some scenes filmed at this restaurant. Anyways this place is very simple. You walk in and there are several red and white checkered table clothed tables and an older looking bar that is fully stocked. They also have a good sized flat screen TV up on the wall above the bar that you can watch. From the bar you can see a very small and simple looking kitchen area where they home make all of the food.“

The milanese is incredible. the salad that comes as a soup or salad choice is the best included salad ive ever had with a meal. the bread with olive oil and fava bean hummus is my favorite bread service around. Let's not forget the awesome and welcoming staff that always makes us feel like family. Yesterday my wife had a beet salad special that was in her opinion better (by far) than the ones she has had at the western door and other "high end" restaurants. Very reasonable prices as well especially considering the quality of the food.“

“Due to Covid restrictions Jovi's hadn't been opened for awhile. Went on a Friday night. The restaurant was at 50% capacity and every table was full. They have changed their menu, which I found very interesting. I ordered the special of shrimp and lemon ricotta pasta with tomatoes and red peppers $23. I asked for it to be served without tomatoes. When the server brought my food which seemed to take awhile, she said "oh, I forgot no tomatoes." There weren't any red peppers but a boat load of tomatoes. I didn't want to wait for my food while the other guests were eating so as to why I didn't send it back. The 4 pieces of shrimp still had the tails on which I thought was odd in a pasta dish, but the pasta was very good. It seems that Jovi's is working out some issues after being closed due to the covid restrictions. I'll probably give them another chance, hope they're able to get their flow going again.“

“Great lunch! I ordered the meatball parm sandwich. I really appreciated that the meatballs and sauce were not overdone with seasoning. The seasoning complemented rather than dominated. The sandwich comes with a pickle spear and a choice of potato salad or macaroni salad. I chose the latter. The mac salad was very tasty. My biggest pleasure was the dill pickle. It was terrific - crunchy and not overwhelmed by the spices or vinegar. It was more akin to the store-bought Clausen brand pickle. Well done!“
