“The food was awesome; you can tell a great chef starts with the best ingredients. First, the bread and focaccia were perfectly “croccante.” The tuna carpaccio and branzino were delicate and flavorful, and the sides of Utica greens and potatoes were also better accompaniments than you can get anywhere. “My wife and I had one of the best dining experiences ever last night. We’ve been to Lucia’s previously and if you’re not aware, it’s best to make reservations well in advance when you want to go. Anticipating our 32nd wedding anniversary, we tried to make reservations weeks in advance but nothing was available on Open Table however the stars aligned yesterday afternoon! Thankfully, we selected the notify me option and a spot opened last night!! When we checked in, we were warmly greeted by Jill with Happy Anniversary”! We arrived early to enjoy a cocktail at the outside bar. My wife had a lemon martini followed by a French 75. I had an Eagle Rare Old Fashioned. All perfectly crafted by highly attentive bar tenders. When we went to our table, not only did the person who seated us but the busser & server all acknowledged it was our anniversary! For dinner, we had crab risotto and lobster ravioli, both topped with an 8 oz perfectly grilled filet. An abundance of crab and lobster meat on both dishes. Thomas, our server, was extremely articulate, highly knowledgeable of each dish, their preparation and made excellent suggestions. He made the evening a delight! Lastly, we had creme brûlée for dessert! I can’t say enough, Lucia’s is a first class dining experience, top to bottom!! Kudos to the entire staff!!“

“There aren’t many places left in Buffalo that can take you over 40 years back in time, to when the Italian Festival was on Connecticut Street.

I had to be under 10 the last time i was here , and every single year—like clockwork—one day during the festival it would suddenly rain like crazy. Everyone would scatter, looking for cover. We always ran into this place — a bar/restaurant packed wall to wall with people soaked, drinking beer… me standing there drinking my 25¢ Coke, waiting for the rain to stop so I could get back out to the fun.

Fast forward all these years later…
I found out they’re still open — and walking in felt like stepping into that exact moment. It looks almost exactly the same as it did back then.

I stopped in today and had what might still be the best Italian stuffed shells I’ve ever had. One employee ( named Rosie ) No frills. Just real, historic Italian food and a place that somehow escaped time.

Our first Buffalo-destination in July 2025 was a "bar" known for their creation of Buffalo-wings. When we return in July 2026, JT's will be our first Buffalo-destination for wings. Large fully-cooked chicken wing drumettes and flats. The size required 4-5 adult mouth-fulls to get to the bare-bones. Scrumptious, tender, moist chicken meat inside a crispy outer covering, hand shaken in unique inspired sauces. Perfection defined for Buffalo-wings. JT's is a must for those who appreciate the best Buffalo-wing experience. Try them once, you will not find their equal in Buffalo ( or any other place ). LMAO! Absolutely the best food in Buffalo and our favorite hands down Italian restaurant with the best meatballs I ever had besides my grandma's, that I haven't had since she passed, so these are now the best I can get. The menu is great with something for everyone and whatever you're in the mood for from flatbread pizza to homemade pasta with the most amazing sauces, delicious salads, fantastic steak and the freshest Italian desserts. if you can save room. We have to get them to go home. It's so hard to decide that we get several things and go family style sharing and going around the menu. bravo Nani in the meatballs! they are a must! great friendly service and beautiful atmosphere. sometimes the acoustic music in the bar. what a gem we love walking distance to the theater district, we try to go before shows and park and enjoy the evening starting with the best meal and drinks before a show downtown. “Had the best dinner out in a very long time. Sea Bass special. Not sure I would have ordered it if the dish was written out. Too many things added in that I ultimately didn't know what they were. Not a big pesto fan and the dish came in a bath of creamy green with an odd looking chutney of sorts on top. The green was a fantastic pesto tinged super flavorful sauce and the topping was a grand mix of sweet, savory and nut crunch, a fantastic meal.“

“Due to Covid restrictions Jovi's hadn't been opened for awhile. Went on a Friday night. The restaurant was at 50% capacity and every table was full. They have changed their menu, which I found very interesting. I ordered the special of shrimp and lemon ricotta pasta with tomatoes and red peppers $23. I asked for it to be served without tomatoes. When the server brought my food which seemed to take awhile, she said "oh, I forgot no tomatoes." There weren't any red peppers but a boat load of tomatoes. I didn't want to wait for my food while the other guests were eating so as to why I didn't send it back. The 4 pieces of shrimp still had the tails on which I thought was odd in a pasta dish, but the pasta was very good. It seems that Jovi's is working out some issues after being closed due to the covid restrictions. I'll probably give them another chance, hope they're able to get their flow going again.“

“One of our monthly, sometimes weekly, go tos. We have lived in Detroit and in NYC and have never had better pizza than Jay’s. Truly amazing food and love that they have unique options. The salad is one of the best salads I’ve ever had, even our 2 year old is a huge fan. You should plan to wait a bit on a Friday or Saturday night but I promise it’s worth it!!“

I wasn't expecting much because everything was pretty cheap, but the food arrived hot and fresh. The steak on the sandwich was cooked perfectly rare, and the cheese logs were crispy and thick. The mashed potato bites were also crispy, and the Bavarian pretzel logs were soft and tasty. I expected to get a couple pieces of zeppole, but I got an entire to go box full of them. Amazing deal for great food! Will definitely order again.“

“We live down the street. This place is one of our favorites. Sweet sauce has to be your thing. Very well balanced and not too sweet. Chicken Parm is outstanding. We get pizza here all the time too and it's always killer. Highly recommend Touch of Italy!!!“
