“I was once stationed at a military base close to the Mexican border and sampled some amazing Mexican cuisine. I now live in the greater Buffalo area, and have tried many of its so called Mexican restaurant that to my mind were just a tad better than eating at Taco Bell. I recently dined at a restaurant in Cheektowaga call Taqueria Los Mayas… and let me tell you… their food is as close to actually eating in Mexico as you can get. The portions are very generous, and the prices fair. Totally enjoyed the experience.”

“I came to this restaurant a few times over the years and was always happy with the meals and service. Today I came with my whole family including my nephew whose severely allergic to seafood. By me being a nurse I thought about him letting the waitress know about his allergy and ask about how the food is prepared. It was so disappointing to find out that chicken and fish is fried in the same grease. I guess nobody thinks about the people who’s allergic. Frying seafood and chicken in the same grease should not be happening, especially in a restaurant.”

“Our server Bobby was a 10/10 tonight. What an asset he is to this location. So kind, and nice. Very attentive to our table and the other tables he served. We got there before the restaurant filled up, but not long after the place was packed, and he still made sure to check in a few times and bring refills. Food was also a 10/10.”

“This was a quick take-out at the airport. While the service was lacking the burgers were pretty good! The patties were juicy and delicious! There was plenty of seats to devour the food and the fries were spot/on! For airport food Anchor Bar was really good.”

Perfectly cooked, seasoned, absolutely delicious. And how do they stay in business giving these masterpieces away for next to nothing?”

“I wanted to say thank you to the ladies at Cake Crazy Bakery. I have been to a few other bakeries in the area and they did not know or understand what I had wanted. It was my daughter’s baby shower and her theme was golden books. These ladies went above and beyond and created a cake that looked exactly like the cover of a golden book. Their attention to detail is incredible. Not only was it beautiful. It was delicious! We did not even want to cut the cake.”

“I absolutely would recommend Johnny’s. Our party of 9 walked in and was instantly greeted with the warmest Buffalo welcome during half time. We were out celebrating my son’s 12th birthday, it also happened to be an employees birthday. They brought out a piece of cake(his favorite too!) right before serving us with 4 huge pizza pies and appetizers. We live over an hour away and cannot wait to come back. “No I don’t recommend French Road Dairy Queen. The workers are rude. Online says they’re open until 10 so my kids and I ride our bikes a couple miles to French road Dairy Queen looking for a tasty treat. On arrival the inside area is already closed at 9:45. Drive thru is open since they don’t have a walk up window like every other ice cream shop I figured I could get served at the drive thru window. NOPE. No ice cream for you they say like I’m in the Sienfeld episode The soup Nazi only it’s ice cream. My kids and I were so disappointed. The ride home was treacherous with no calories in our systems. We barely made it home Sincerely Disappointed customer”

“My buddies and I live in Rochester, New York and occasionally venture West on golf outings. We like to stop for breakfast along the way, and it can be difficult to find a place that satisfies the diverse tastes of our group. The Olympic restaurant was chosen because of its location. It turned out to be quite a find. I for example noticed eggs benedict on the menu. I like eggs Benedict Florentine, and so I asked if they had spinach that could put on it and they gave me Eggs Benedict Florentine, which turned out to be absolutely delicious.

The service was wonderful in lots of ways. The place was sparkling clean and had a diner feel to it. We were extremely happy and will be returning there on subsequent trips West from Rochester.”

“Literally if this was near my town i would go everyday the food was so good i loved the crab rolls and cashier was so nice and even brought the food to us when we were wating for it when we sat down. and was so nice that they made avocado rolls for us even when it wasnt on the menu. literally got wet when i took a bite. and the spicy mayo wasnt too spricy or has no spicy it was perfect. would literally go back to get another”

“We were visiting Buffalo and, of course, had to try buffalo wings it might sound cliché, but these turned out to be the best wings we’ve ever had! We also tried the pizza logs and they were so delicious.

Coming from Cleveland, we were blown away by how meaty they were, perfectly tossed, and packaged so neatly for takeout. Totally worth the short drive (under 10 minutes) from our hotel near the airport.

If we’re ever back in Buffalo, this will be our first stop.”

“Honestly, I don't know anything about the current Papa Joe's -- I have lived in New York City for 45 years and haven't even visited Buffalo in 13 years --- but Papa Joe's is important to me because it once belonged to my grandfather, who established a bar there. I don't know exactly when it was established, but it was already in operation in 1910 and he owned it through Prohibition, and passed away in 1935. My father was actually born upstairs - over 100 years ago! The bar has been in operation, under various ownership, for more than 100 years!! That's something, I think! I grew up on Randolph Ave.”

“Honestly wasn't impressed at all with our food. It took 15 minutes to even get our order taken. The food was messy and felt like I was eating Mayo Soup instead of a CheckerBurger. Our french fries tasted like the funnel cake fries. Presentation and quality were horrible. Also was surprised we weren't given a receipt with our order number on it. The cashier seemed as though he didn't wanna be bothered.”

Like most fast food, Chik Fil A is very consistent from location to location- perhaps a bit more so than McDonald’s/Burger King. I’m guessing corporate policy and directives makes that a point when it comes to training staff.

Food is decent. Simple and consistent. Staff is polite. For the frequent lines I’ve never seen a Fast food chain that has such a well oiled system to move said line- which is great for the customer. Maybe because it seems they don’t purposely cut labor to increase profits at the expense of quality.

“This particular Tims on Union road in cheektowaga near Walden Ave has an amazing team I've come too know going through multiple times a day first with my Pittie Emma after the loss of her continuing to come through now with my new pittie mix 🐻 bear.. Super friendly and outgoing even on bad days or busy ones .. I run my own business and have managed many big places , just know you have good people here , earning an honest living with great attitudes with clientele. This is my favorite Tims too frequent.”
