Was looking forward to returning to your restaurant after many years. Was scheduled for dinner with group of 14 but was told we couldn't have it cause you required us to have a room and a minimum of $1400 to be placed in a room because you couldn't accommodate in the restaurant. That surprised me not because of the price but because of the number being so small. We've been too many fine restaurants and small establishments and they always accommodated even on a quick reservation. I was surprised you didn't want our business. Many were locals and could have frequented your establishment. Disappointed. But good to know.

The best meal and service I have had in Buffalo. Our waiter, Chris, was fantastic. The food and wine were beyond expectations. I highly recommend the seafood tower and the scallop entree- but you can’t go wrong with one of their beautiful cuts of beef. Amazing cocktails, sides and desserts. Incredibly accommodating for our party of 7 people. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Give it a try!!

I would definitely dine in again at this restaurant. The atmosphere was nice, the staff was warm, friendly and efficient.It was my first time having the Tomahawk Steak, the cut was well seasoned, tender and delicious. The Lobster was broiled to my satisfaction. The pretzel rolls were warm and moist. I cheated and had fries...lol..the serving was hefty and the taste was out of this world.The food is pricey;however it's all worth it. Shout out to our waiter..Thanks MaryJo..You will be seeing us again.

server seemed like she didn't want to be bothered with anything, ceaser salad dressing was awful, ordered scallops with risotto, scallops were good but risotto was probably the worst I ever had. all I tasted was lemon and very heavy handed with the pepper, I couldn't even eat it, extremely disappointed.
Recently dined at Black and Blue Restaurant for a fellow friend birthday. We had Rebecca J as a waiter. The service was underwhelming to say the least. Rebecca appeared to annoyed when attending the table. When my fellow colleague asked for her dessert to packed to go as she did not finish it. Rebecca blatantly rolled her eyes at my colleague. Rebecca physically tossed the check at my friend who was closest to her instead of simply handing the check to him. Rebecca made us feel unwelcome. As someone who has graduated from Culinary school; the service was lacking to say the least. The food was good overall. Everyone steak was cooked appropriately.

This restaurant has become one of our go too for any sort of occasion. The service was friendly, wonderful and exceptional. Last night. The food was cooked perfectly and as always delicious. The ambience is always wonderful and it's easy to have a conversation with everybody at the table. We keep coming back here because of everything that this place does to make it special. Look forward to our next visit.
My fillet did not have as much flavor as it normally does. Our orzo mac & cheese came out, barely warm. I did tell the waitress and they brought us out a new one that was piping hot. However, it did lack seasoning we had to add our own salt and pepper.

We were a party of six and each of us had a different meal. Every one was outstanding! All steaks were perfectly cooked and the seafood dishes were exceptional. You can tell the kitchen puts a lot of thought and preparation in its menu choices. Cocktails and appetizers led to a meal we will all remember. Even though this was fine dining, we were made to feel comfortable, and yes, even cozy. Service wss attentive while not overbearing.

Went here for my birthday and everything was incredible. We got there early and went to the bar for a drink first. Surprisingly good craft beer selection and the cocktails were fantastic. We were seated right away when we went to the host stand to let them know we were here and our server came over right away. Complimentary bread was warm and tasted good. We ordered appetizers (crab cake and wagyu meatballs) both were excellent. Our entrees came out perfectly timed, filet with scallops and red snapper. We also added the mexican street corn as a side dish. Everything was wonderful. The stake was cooked perfectly medium, and since it is served on the metal platter, it stayed hot the entire time, without cooking more. We are not usually dessert people. but after seeing another table get the cheesecake, we had to try it, and we were not disappointed. Very large piece of cheesecake with a wonderful berry sauce and fresh whipped cream. Overall, our experience was perfect from start to finish, which I feel like is pretty rare these days. Worth every penny, and will definitely be returning the next time we are looking for a higher end meal and dining experience. Black and Blue exceeded our expectations!
