Edit: I want to add more information because oh my gosh, Butter Block is literally the best. I've been following Butter Block since they were doing their poptart pop-ups. They are so good at everything.
One thing that is particularly great is the fact that they have so much variety. They frequently add new items. In the fall, they have amazing pumpkin croissants, recently, they had a Dubai chocolate croissant as well a butternut squash curry danish. Their Christmas cookie boxes are insanely good. Their coffee croissants on Thursdays are amazing. Their doughnuts on Wednesday are legendary.
Today, I had an amazing corned beef brioche bomb, a savory onion danish, and a key lime croissant.
Buffalo is lucky to have such an amazing bakery. Their stuff is not only beautiful, but also tastes fantastic and well thought out.

If you are from out of town you might not want to go here … because you won’t be able to stop thinking about when you can get back to Buffalo! Chocolate, plain and almond croissants are all the best I’ve had anywhere and the *Bacon Maple Bowtie* is brilliant. Beautiful flowers and perfect cappuccinos too!

My opinion: Light-filled, neat and welcoming interior. The glass partition allowing customers to view the artisans at work is delightful and the reward for their hard work is some of the best-tasting, best looking pasteries I have had the fortune of tasting. Thank you!

On a work trip from Syracuse to Buffalo and we were told we had to stop here. Truly so glad we did. Some of the best pastries ever. I bought one, ate it, then turned around to buy a box to bring home. Please open a second location in Syracuse please!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

As a European, I have loved this place for ten years because it felt like home! But something has changed. The croissants are smaller, and I don't think they're using imported butter anymore. I hope I have just been experiencing some off days but if these changed have occurred, I hope they're reversed. I am confident BB customers would gladly pay more for the quality. I know tariffs have hurt us all, so I am hoping this is temporary. Rooting for BB and missing what once was! Staff is always great. Still thankful.
