Had a party and the bartenders worked very hard to make sure everyone had drinks and a good time. The manager made the setup very easy.

We hosted a happy hour party for our mom’s birthday on Friday night and it was the perfect ambiance! The staff was super friendly, the food was delicious especially the meatballs and peppers, and the string lights make it the most perfect Friday night on Hertel!

Asked the female bartender for water, her response “I’ll get it when I want to” . If you don’t like your job quit!!

For starters, our bartender/server was great. The food though, terrible. My sandwich was the best thing. More bread than fillings though. Olive bowl wasnt great. Plenty of olives but low quality and all the same type. Wifes salad (beet) was ordered with a chicken cutlet. Came without. Then found out only grilled available. Smother in chopped up onions (which wasnt on the list of ingredients). Supposed goat cheese was likely ricotta. Poor taste as well. Basically inedible. The ricotta/pistachio app that was ordered to at least have something to eat was bland and honestly boring. Drinks were ok. Honestly, management isnt training the kitchen staff. If they are, then staff needs oversight. Saw no management on-site. Any other restaurant with this bad of an issue would have a manager on it immediately. Not here. Bartender did her best but truthfully when you do a lot of specialty drinks, one bartender even on a sunday afternoon is going to be fairly overwhelmed especially when they seem to be the waitress/server for the entire place. A very nice looking place though. Too bad about the food. When it closes i wont be too surprised.

This has to be the worst food experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. And I’ve been too many many restaurants but never an experience like this !!!!!! We ordered apps, my girlfriend ordered fried artichokes and I ordered deviled eggs. The apps were pretty ok . The problem was the apps and the entrées came all out at the same time so I ask why everything came out at the same time and her excuse was that’s how food comes out here . I was flabbergasted with that response…. I ordered their pasta special, (angel hair with red sauce) I added chicken and shrimp it was the worst pasta I’ve ever had. The shrimp came out cold. The chicken was dry and there was hardly any sauce. I asked her for a side of sauce and it took her five minutes to bring it back, so i decided I didn’t even want the meal so i returned it and advised her it was terrible… be advised Caio Caio I will never return and I will tell all my foodies to never to walk into this establishment ever again!!!!

Ciao Ciao’s is my go to place to have relaxing, fun drinks with friends any time.It has the feel of a neighborhood bar that welcomes all! I never feel rushed. Just the opposite. The location on Hertel is perfectly situated between Buffalo and the North Towns making it the ideal spot to stop after work.

This was our first visit to Ciao Ciao and we definitely will be back...what a hidden gem on Hertel...lunch was amazing...I had the beet carpaccio and it was delicious 😋 the beets were expertly sliced so thin and the goat cheese and arugula were the perfect pairing...my friend had the poached pear salad which she truly enjoyed and we shared the pistachio ricotta with crostini as an appetizer...anything with pistachios is a hit.
Our server was great...friendly...efficient and knowledgeable...she made our experience even better...we would highly recommend it!
Auguri ai padroni ...bravi...complimenti Gina!

Just had a baby shower at Ciao and it was wonderful! Started with a charcuterie board and shrimp. Then a buffet with chicken parm, pizza, penne pasta and Ceasar salad. Also had a special drink menu and mini cannolis for dessert. The food was excellent and service was great. Would highly recommend Ciao for a special event.

Ciao Ciao was the perfect spot for my bridal shower! We rented out the restaurant, and the team went above and beyond to make the day so special. The food was absolutely delicious, the cocktails were amazing, and the staff was incredibly accommodating to every request. I can’t recommend this place enough! Whether you're planning an event or just stopping by for a cocktail and a bite, Ciao Ciao is a must!

My friend I visited on 7/11/25, drinks were good. We sat on the patio, our server (who we later found out it was the manager) took our food order. We waited over an hour, nobody came to check on us and then we noticed our server got in his car and left. It was about another 15 minutes before someone else came to check on us and asked us if we wanted to order any appetizers. To which we said we already put in an order with our server . And she said with who? We said the guy who just drove away in the ford bronco. Our server said oh that was the manager he can be kind of spacey, he most likely did not put in your order. So she said she would go put in our order (pasta primavera and the special which was Alfredo penne with grilled salmon) because the kitchen was about to close in 10 minutes. We got our food about 20 minutes later and the Alfredo penne with grilled salmon had no salmon and hardly any sauce (see picture). We did not eat the special because we wanted to show our server it was missing the salmon. Our new server was nowhere to be found, we sat waiting for another 20 minutes.

We decided to go up to the bar to settle the check and the bartender couldn’t find our table or order in the system. Our new server came out from the back after what was now 30 minutes to help the bartender figure out what was going on with our check. But then she proceeded to hand us a bill with someone else’s drinks on it, we told her that was not our order. Finally, she put in our order correctly and she did comp the penne with grilled salmon.

Overall it seemed like everyone was not sober. Because every interaction was just incredibly odd on top of all the mishaps. At least the drinks were good.
