During covid, food was not thrown away in a timely manner. Months passed before trays of moldy bread were brought up from the basement to throw away. Basement always smelled like mildew. Concerning since that's where their freezer is kept. Refrigeration repair companies was a normal weekly occurance to try and fix cooler and freezer issues. Owner won't pay for new equipment. When's the last time your tap lines were cleaned? Food poisoning central here. Stick to bottle or cans and skip the menu altogether.

Don't expect a trendy yuppie atmosphere! The place is a blood-and-guts beer dive that delivers a comfortable relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. Not for everyone, but I like it!! Very unique and refreshing!

decided to try this place one afternoon for a late lunch... new favourite place in buffalo I think! been here a few times since, gets busy at the usual times but certainly worth the wait. owner and staff are a real treat :-)

Seems a little sketchy at first, new bartender, followed by a guy that was paying attention other things who's been there for a while, but both nice people, couldn't find the chef but what he served was excellent. I recommend, but just don't be picky, not for Karen's. By the way there's a lot of cool stuff all over, history, presidential so on and so forth...

Been wanting to check out this bar for awhile, and glad my wife and myself was able to get in there, because we were not disappointed . This bar has such a retro feel, great draft list and food looks good. We had a Philly sandwich which was made with big pieces of steak! Mike the bartender/owner was friendly and very welcoming, and has a wealth of history knowledge .
