Tonight my husband and I came in the first time in months. And we were seated and it took 45 mins to get our drink orders and hour to get out food order. Olivia was our waitress 11/5/2024. She threw menus at us and didn’t even tell us her name. I had to ask wnother server who she was. She made my drink wrong. I ask for a simple deep Eddie lemon with water splash of tea. She made the Opposite. Miranda was a life saver and replaced my drink. Thank you Miranda! Olivia never once asked how dinner was if she can get anything else for us. Because of her. I will never have her wait on me again. I’m very disappointed in service tonight. And even though it was a Tuesday trivia night and sabers game. It was not busy at all. Very disappointed!

A lovely place to get your wings! Cooked to perfection, with amazing flavors. Try different flavors. The chili also was outstanding, and the Irish red was delicious. We were lucky and had live music.

This place never disappoints ..awesome Irish pub with good music...trivia night ...great bands ...an outside huge covered patio and no lower end clientele ....food is excellent...it's a must and it will be your favorite place after just one visit

1st time there, got reuben (melted in mouth, yum!) And medium wings(great). Nice atmosphere and fairly priced. Put it on your visit list!

Good beer and nice atmosphere. However the wings were sub-par and the wait time to be served interminable. Would not return.

Our Airbnb host told us 1) Buffalo is famous for its wings and 2) McCarthy’s has some of the best in town.

Obviously, we decided to try for ourselves.

The wings were HUGE. We ordered 20 but only ate 10. Very good. Juicy but crispy. Good spice. Delicious!!!

Our server was very friendly and helpful. She brought a dog bowl of water over for our dog.

This is definitely a hidden Gem and we’ll be next time we’re in Buffalo.

Ambiance on outside patio, great selection of beers and ales, wings and their special ones with blue cheese coated on. Impressed with the food and friendly service.

Came here on 8/21/24 from Las Vegas. I sat at the bar and immediately a wonderful waitress named Miranda approached me with such a high energy. I asked about the different beers they offer..and she recommended a wonderful fruit type beer that was amazing. We had wings that were amazing. Miranda was the best..give her a raise. We will be back in October to see Miranda..I hope she sees this..from Las Vegas.

Bartender Bill was great- friendly smiles from the staff upon arrival. There was a band playing outside but we opted for the bar seating. Food could not be better! Sheffield wings were to die for, caesar salad was a nice addition, and of course the fried cheese curds are not to be missed.
The interior is eclectic, the locals are welcoming and all in all a great time. I will be back!

These are the best Buffalo wings in America. I am not kidding. I’ve had wings all over the States and these are the tastiest more crispy and juicy wings I’ve ever tasted. I had the McCarthy and the Sheffield wings (half and half in an order of 20). The waitress recommended a homely made hot sauce that was spicy but delicious. The Sheffield wings are best crispy. They are covered in a herb crusted dry rub that will blow your mind. The McCarthy wings are wet BBQ sauced covered in CHUNKS OF REAL BLUE CHEESE! I mean, no one does this. Unreal and delicious. I also ordered the pull pork sandwich Carolina style, tangy and savory. The sides of Mac and cheese is delicious; chunks of celery and a delicious sauce. The Cole slaw is amazing and the pickles are superb. Did I mention they also add CHUNKS OF REAL BLUE CHEESE TO THIS DISH TOO! Yeah, if you’re in Buffalo, NY to sight see the Niagara Falls or dip into Canada do yourself a favor and stop by Gene McCarthy’s. The locals are friendly and it was trivia night when I dropped in. Brilliant place. I’m coming back for more.

What a joke. 4 of us walked in 408. Ordered drinks about 15 minutes later. Order our food by 425. Ten minutes later our friends messaged us saying they were gonna join. Had us order them 20 wings and fries. I then track down our elusive server. Add the food. To our order. Our friends show up. Their food comes out at 500. At 520 we still hadn’t received our food. An hour after ordering 2 roast beef sandwiches and 10 wings and they couldn’t get it done. But no issue cranking out the add on of wings and fries. 0 stars Never again.
