We absolutely love this place. Its a warm feeling as soon as you walk in greeted mostly by the owners. The food is Tavern Tremendous with the best wings and weck along with an array of traditional dinners like meat loaf and turkey. The bar is THE best -around manned by attentive , awesome friendly and talkative bartenders like Marci-Colton-Christopher and Phil. Its a total CHEERS vibe. It simply cannot be beat!

Everything served was barely warm except for the fish. Wings, Fries, veggies all luke warm. Waitress in red, white and blue Bills sweatshirt never even checked on us after we were served. Asked if they had Pepsi or Coke, she said neither just cola. Hostess had to take our credit card for payment.
We will not be back

Came in around 1230 for lunch and was asked if I had a reservation. Did not know you needed a reservation for a casual restaurant on a Monday. Maybe if I showed up in my business suit I would have been offered a table!

GPT is a historic Williamsville staple. Great Lobster Bisque, hot stuffed peppers, and Fish Fry. Try the William Mattar to get some buffalo favorites all in one dish. Always a must stop for Tom & Jerrys too. Go support Ellie and fam!

My wife and I have heard good things about this place. We’ve had the exact opposite experience. We arrived around 5:00. The place was busy, we were told roughly 45 minutes for a table. We waited and got a drink at the bar. Another couple of two comes in 10 minutes later and is told two people ahead of them, and within 5 minutes are seated. We are still standing and waiting. Dumbfounded by them being seated. Another 30 minutes and we were finally seated. 15 minutes before the waitress comes over and says “ i don’t know who’s next, so what do you want. I’ll do your drinks and food now”.
We order and 40 minutes later our food arrives. My wife gets a fish fry and i get the chicken and banana pepper sandwich.
My wife eats half and i do the same. Neither of we’re pleased with the food, we both left most of our dinners. Never once were we asked how we were doing or if we needed anything. Our waitress was more interested in saying hi and hugging who i assume are regulars. This was more than a 2 hour “experience”. The host asked how everything was because we didn’t eat everything. When we said we weren’t happy with the dinner she say “ I’ve never heard anyone say that before” with such extinguishment. We told her it wasn’t very good and we were disappointed. Her response was “well… thank you for your patience”. I can only say wow. I don’t know what the draw is. Definitely a disappointment

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience here. I had family visiting from Europe, and we decided to come here to try the Tom and Jerry. The service was terrible and rude. Our waitress took a very long time; we sat at the table for about 20 minutes waiting to place our order. She rolled her eyes while talking to us and was very unprofessional. I was very disappointed and embarrassed to have invited my family here.

First time here with a party of 8 people yesterday and when my fiancé and I got to the table we both said eww what is that awful smell. Literally the same time. He said it smelled like vomit and to me it smelled like foot odor. My father agreed it stunk too. I don’t know what that awful smell was and I’ve never been to a restaurant where the first thing you notice are bad smells and nothing you want to deal with when you are about to eat that’s for sure. I smelled it the whole time there so it couldn’t have been a person or something someone ate. Really hope it wasn’t what my fiancé said it was and maybe they didn’t clean it properly. No way we could have moved since we had a bigger party and it was busy and the place is tiny. Waitress was nice. Food was okay. Nothing exciting or to write home about. I agree with what a lot of people said that it is very noisy but maybe I wasn’t bothered by that since one of my other senses was being overpowered.

Great food and awesome service. Glen Park Tavern in Amherst, NY is such a cozy little bar—I’d heard so much about it but hadn’t been until now, and I’m so glad I finally went. The Tom & Cherry to cap off the delicious chocolate cake for dessert was just superb. Cheers, we’ll definitely be back!
