Went for drinks and apps with my wife, we ordered the duck fat popcorn as one of our apps. As soon as we were served it, a server started giving out the popcorn to all the other patrons for free, because “it’s old and we are going to throw it out”. When I brought this to our servers attention, I asked if it would still be on our bill, he said, “yep, you ordered it, the other server was just being nice, instead of throwing it out”. When I asked if he was comfortable charging us for something that was going to be thrown out, he had no response. Won’t be going back.

Horrible place. Rude, bartenders are more focused on taking shots than serving their customers and even when you’re spending money, they would rather focus on less melanated people. Would not recommend ever experiencing and I’m canceling my reservation for the barrel room because I will not support this place. We planned to celebrate our anniversary because he loves speakeasys but no.

Oliver stopped a bus with his bare hands (Twilight style) saving hundreds of kittens. Outside of donating half of his paychecks to the poor he spends his days off helping the elderly with their day to day activities. My shoulder had been broken for months, Oliver patted my shoulder and it was immediately healed. Also Oliver took me took the mountain tops of Japan and taught me how to cross the street (look both ways).

Listen, I like Hartman's. It's a nice vibe and the drinks are generally good. We had brunch last weekend and it was awful. Two of us got the eggs benedict, and they really have no business making it. The hollandaise was not hollandaise. It was pale and lumpy like they used cornstarch to thicken it. The dish was doused in it. It didn't taste horrible but it was pretty unappetizing. They also fried the eggs. This is a pretty standard dish and the eggs are poached. Our friends got different dishes and they said theirs were decent, so maybe just stay away from the eggs benedict. Finally, we got there a little after they opened and they didn't have coffee brewed yet...at brunch. It took like 15 minutes to wait for coffee. The servers were super nice and it was nice to sit outside, so I can't totally trash it.

Hartman's is one of my favorite places to stop by and grab a drink when I'm in the city with some friends. I highly recommend checking out Hartman's food while you're at it as well. The sweet potato hummus is not to be slept on! The charcuterie board was a little bit light on the bread so be prepared to eat with your hands but overall all cheeses were delightful. The Loganberry vodka from Hartman is incredible and I highly recommend picking it up if you get a chance. The weight staff is incredibly hard-working, but it can be hard at times to put in drinks and food orders because there are not waiters that serve the actual tables. The vibe is so fresh and clean, definitely a great place to spend some time with friends.
Recommended dishes: Sweet Potato Hummus, French Onion Grilled Cheese
