I ordered fried chicken,Mac n cheese green beans corn bread. Chicken is made to order so no stale chicken that's been sitting around, I liked the flavors chicken was moist and tender. The Mac n cheese well good but nothing you can't get anyplace else. I will say though that the greenbeans where the best I have ever tried. I could only eat about half of my food so serving size is generous. I actually liked the food leftovers also so two meals for me.

Me and my wife were in town for a few days. First time in the city and looking for something good to eat. I found this place and it didn’t disappoint. Being from Georgia I’m hard on soul food spots. BUT this place definitely didn’t disappoint. The chicken was super crispy. Yams and Mac and cheese great. The kool aid was a great surprise as well. Ohhhhh and let’s not forget the peach cobbler omg. Well if you’re anywhere in the area gooooooooo.

For starters the food is PHENOMENAL. You get treated as if you’re apart of their family. The service is out of this world. The food I seasoned with love. I got the haddock and shrimp dinner and when I tell you. It’s up there with my mommas cooking you can’t go wrong with it 10/10 recommend

My food was delicious, the environment was relaxed, very clean, and the staff was professional. It’s a vibe there, they also had nice music playing. My 1st time ordering I got a fish shrimp bombo. As my sides I had baked mac and string beans, I also ordered a peach cobbler for dessert. Everything was delicious enough that I’ll go back, next time I’ll order order something different. I highly recommend for soul food, I hope ya’ll stay around for years. Thank ya’ll 🥰.

Although there are many great reviews! It was my worse Expierence for a Sunday after church meal! Starting with the dirty entrance Matt at the door! For $30 YOU BEST HAVE a Huge Haddock/FriedChicken/Or Ribs… for a Buffet Style!… Corn & Rice room temp cool! Mac & Cheese Ran out! The nxt pan was undercooked! ..The ONLY 2 Meats were BBQ baked wings!! They were still pink! And HamburgerBalls imitation Salisbury which also was undercooked! The set up of standing in a line RIGHT ON TOP folks trying to eat was not the best set up! So Buffet Style CounterTop was All Bad on my visit 30$🤕 No FISH NO FRIED CHICKEN standing in line waiting for Mac&Cheese to come out the oven!!! As you stand over sitting folks trying to eat! Mannn I’m sorry! NEVER AGAIN! $30 for a HamburgerBall in gravy! And pink wings! Perhaps it was just a bad Kitchen day! My Last! And please supply Hand cleaner for all tables! … my niece wanted to take some rice home…. It’s a buffet right💁🏼♀️💁🏼♀️💁🏼♀️The Lady said you gotta pay for A take home! Wow!!! This spot will not Last this way! Chinese Buffet!!! Eat til you explode… HOT HOT!! they don’t run out… certainly can take home a tray!!! Yeah! I’m Good!!! Sorry!!! Restaurant was very clean staff was very nice and respectful but the food was a problem the chicken what's not good they need to go old school and put some McCormick very bland with a weird taste string beans taste it weird no seasonings at all had a garlic clove in it yams were too sweet to much cinnamon and nutmeg the only thing that was good what's the mac and cheese my son said his ribs what's tough and the dinner was not cheap I spent $60 so I expect it better but they are a new restaurant so let's give him a chance I think they need to change the color some people can cook in their kitchen but they can't cook in large quantities they should have a panel taste their meals before they started selling them and it's not just my opinion I actually let three people taste the food so good luck to you heavens countertop I hope things get better in your restaurant strives it's always good to see black owned businesses

Nice place to catch some good soul food great food top tier I rated the food a 5 because it was good and had flavor the service took longer than expected not enough workers on duty the atmosphere was rated a 1 star because as a establishment family owned or not there should never be a time where people can’t enjoy their meal w out a crowd of young kids running in and out getting free drinks and just being obnoxious the place for one is too small for that and for two there’s no room for customers who actually wanted to try the food out if u go here get it for take out only for instance a customer came in and a young kid in street attire is telling her ayo we backed up rn whom wasn’t on the clock very distasteful and unprofessional as a blacked own restaurant

My family and I came here while visiting my grandparents. When we walked into the restaurant, they helped my grandmother to her chair. The waitress was a young lady who was friendly and answered all of our questions about the menu. She was very busy but the service was quick despite this issue. We ordered the fried pork chops, fish, ribs, and all the sides lol. The only side we didn't like were the greens because of the strong vinegar taste. We would definitely return to this establishment when we are back in the area. Much love from Houston. ❤️
