My recent stay at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo fell short of expectations in several areas. The room's air conditioning unit was notably noisy, disrupting sleep and relaxation. The bathroom lacked proper ventilation, which could lead to moisture issues over time. The windows appeared to need cleaning, obstructing what could have been a pleasant view.

The overall atmosphere of the hotel was run down and noisier than anticipated for a property of this caliber. While the presence of an on-site Starbucks was convenient, it did not compensate for the other shortcomings.

A significant drawback was the parking situation. The hotel charges $25 per night for parking located a couple of blocks away. This information was not clearly communicated at the time of booking, which was disappointing and led to unexpected additional costs.

While the Hyatt brand typically delivers a reliable experience, this particular property needs improvement in several areas to meet the standard expected by frequent travelers. Better transparency regarding additional fees, enhanced room maintenance, and improved soundproofing would go a long way in enhancing the guest experience.

I stayed here to take the New York State bar exam. Many test takers stayed overnight right in front of the test venue. When I arrived at the front desk, they handed me the pencil and pencil sharpener I needed for the exam in a transparent bag. It is probably used by test takers every time they take an exam. There is a Starbucks on the first floor, but there are few seats and it closes at 5pm. The room is a junior suite with a desk so you can study, but it feels old overall. The windows were dirty and had spider webs. I wonder if it can't be cleaned because it's outside? I was on the 15th floor so the view was amazing.
The staff and people at the front desk are all cheerful and kind. There are some delicious restaurants around the hotel, so we definitely recommend it if you are taking an exam or using the venue.

Manager from the hyatt touched my drink at Starbucks thinking Aventis black coffee was a fluffy drink and was also harassing the batista in a sequel

I expect a high standard of service from Hyatt, as it is considered as premiere luxury hotel. the Hyatt regency buffalo is the worst. they have the worst check in and reception. this hotel can't even offer a glass of water upon arrival knowing its room price is expensive.

Worst house keeping policy, poor bed and mattresses, not enough supplies in room. Poor elevator facility! Not a hotel to stay again. Front desk very rude! Feels like not welcomed. So this is the first and last stay at Hyatt, ....

We picked this hotel for convenience and brand recognition however we were unimpressed by the dated facility and dingy room and bathroom. The bathroom itself smelled of stale pee and the shower did not work properly. There was no housekeeping at 9 pm to change sheets. We ended up grabbing whatever sheets were available to make the bed ourselves (not an issue as we aren't helpless). Some front desk staff seemed unaware of the protocol for check-in causing delay and multiple visits to the front desk which resulted in Jillian rectifying our issues. She was very accommodating and apologized multiple times. One would expect if you are paying the prices we pay we would have the bare minimum services available.

Elevators did not work, alarm clocks have original Apple charger, homeless people constantly approaching you anytime you enter and exit, 1 security guard. No outlets or usb ports, no microwave in room, rooms felt filthy. Rooms not refreshed, trash not taken out, towels not replenished.

First, Had to change room due to strong, overpowering cigarette smell. The Rooms are very dated. Rusty soap dish, coffee pot didn’t work, and the bathroom was not fully cleaned. The entrance and bar area have been updated and give you a false sense of what the rest of the hotel is like. The best thing was the check in clerk gave us the very best recommendation for dinner!

Ver disappointed in dirty room (floor dirty) to broken coffee maker that was not replaced. Carts for luggage not available. Non-working elevator caused long waits. Parking was very expensive and paper parking pass did not work in reader after several trips to parking as paper was flimsy!

My room had a beautiful view of the city and was so comfortable. I left my bathroom bag behind and the assistant manager was extremely helpful in getting the bag back to me. The hotel location was perfect, within walking distance to many restaurants.

The rooms are clean and the lobby area is large, busy and has a good Starbucks and bar. Deficiencies: an outdated and poorly maintained fitness center (elliptical machine not working with missing pins in the resistance training equipment), with a water dispenser that was empty for 2 days (inexcusable for a fitness center). Front desk service left me unhappy after I requested more coffee packets and they never were delivered. Finally, the bathroom sink drained VERY slowly (clogged) -- this should be observed by the cleaning staff and immediately rectified.

I drove 12 hours to be met by the 2 most gracious valet staff I have ever dealt with. They were kind, friendly, and very accommodating. Check in was a breeze and guided this weary person to options for food for my whirlwind stay. I got checked in and landed in the hotel restaurant 10 minutes before closing. Everyone from the waitstaff to the cooks were great. They waved off my apologies and cooked me a great steak (which I graciously took to my room so they could finish up and go home). In the morning the valet took my luggage to my vehicle so I could start my day - this was more than what I asked for. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and centrally located to everything I needed. Take your bragging rights and go. You all did an amazing job and I will be back.
