The service for this restaurant was amazing. The staff made sure we were taken care of and the haddock meal tasted phenomenal. Hidden gem on elmwood Ave. Get the collard greens and mac as your side.

Dont buy from here ever, the owner/worker I interacted with literally stole my money. I came in for the first time and he was nice at first. The prices were a bit too expensive for me at the time but I had never been to a Soul Food restaurant so I wanted to check it out. I wanted something quick so I asked for a small side of Mac and cheese and he literally gave me an attitude. He said it was going to be 5$ and went in the back when he came back out he said it was going to be a 2$ uncharge on the card. I already had my card out and handed it to him and then I was like wait its gonna be 7$ for this tiny Mac and cheese actually never mind. I didn't say it rudely but I was like I can't actually it's too expensive. He was deeply offended by this for some reason and was like what do you mean you dont want it? With a crazy attitude like sir im a customer. Then my boyfriend said hey man we only have like 10$ in the account so we need something for both of us, meanwhile the owner doesn't give my card back and still seems to be trying to charge me on his phone. I was like what are you doing? and he said he would take off the 2$ uncharge. But since he had already given me an attitude/made me feel extremely uncomfortable I said no I dont want it. You would think he would stop after that but instead he continued to fight with me and said "I just made it for you", like he literally went to the back for 2 seconds and put it in a container. He still was holding my card and didn't seem like he was going to give it back even though I said I dont want it multiple times so my boyfriend just took the card out of his hand and we left. I was even nice and said sorry have a good one man. Then I look at my card and he literally charged me for it still. I would've went back if he wasn't so rude I just was looking for a cheap snack that day because a girl is broke, but NEVER AGAIN
I ordered the fried haddock meal. The fish was hot and crispy. The sides were delicious also. I will definitely be ordering again.

Mom decided she wanted lasagna for Mother's Day so I gave Lloyal's a try. This is a truly outstanding lasagna, not soupy or overly garlicky but also super flavorful. My husband ordered the turkey ribs and loved them. Restaurant has a few seats but is mostly take out. I ordered online and had a wait about 5 minutes upon arrival, which I didn't mind. We'll be back!

The service was over the phone but it was fantastic. Very nice and professional. The food was even better though. I had the ground beef lasagna it came with a small salad and garlic bread. The lasagna was top notch! Cooked perfectly, the pasta was perfection. The sauce had just a touch of sweetness, and very flavorful. My son got fried chicken with Mac and cheese. The chicken was crispy, flavorful, and moist on the inside, couldn't ask for much more than that. The mac and cheese was cheesy and the most well seasoned I have ever had. All in all a fantastic meal. We are in the area for only a week but we will be back before we leave.
