Played there last year & just loved the environment! (And food!)

Merge is great food and service. Really lovely restaurant and staff are super polite and helpful when it comes to ordering. I have a lot of food restrictions and they were able to accommodate everything and still have a lot of options. If they reopen I highly suggest visiting as it is a treat.

Very tasty vegan dinner the 4 of us had tonight - service could have been a tad faster but I will still give 5 stars because they seem to be the only place in Buffalo that offers such a good vegan menu. Keep up the good vegan cooking (just make sure you have enough staff to accommodate the demand)

Not a veggie or a vegan and this is my favorite restaurant. Always find myself eating the most creative dishes!!! And the bar drinks are just as deliciously creative!

Review update: I'm so glad Merge has been around as long as it has. I blame myself for not coming here more often. Every time I do, I ask myself: "why on earth am I not coming here more often???" I ask that question because every time I come here I am blown away by the experience. The ambiance itself is worth noting. It's everything I want in a restaurant: cozy without being too casual; classy without being pretentious; perfect for a date but also a night out with a friend or family. On weekends they have live music on their tiny stage. Normally I shy away from live music at restaurants because it can be loud or distracting. Not so here! They choose musicians that play perfect background music yet if you take a moment to pay attention, you notice how talented these musicians truly are. The last musician I saw there was so good that I went out of my way to get cash and tip them. They really enhanced my dining experience! The food is also spectacular. They have something for everyone: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, calorie-conscious, or even meat-lover. But the menu is small enough that you know everything is fresh. Their focus is local and seasonal offerings in unique dishes. It's a great place to try something new. Everything I've tried here has been unlike anything I've even seen in other restaurants, and just as delicious. Great bar as well, at least as far as options and prices are concerned. A glass of very enjoyable Pinot Noir was only $8, as compared to some bars that charge $10+.

Had a pre-Hamilton dinner there recently. The herbed polenta cakes with shrimp was excellent! Nice to have dinner accompanied by music too.

Great service (friendly staff, quick service), fantastic food quality, and plenty of options for both vegetarians and meat-eaters like myself. My girlfriend (vegetarian) and I have been here twice, and we plan on coming back many more times. (The seitan wings make as a great appetizer.)
One if the best vegan spots in buffalo! I've had a different dish every time I've been here and have never been disappointed! The flatbread appetizer is delicious!

Had a small wedding reception....server was not up front and got a $200.00+ too, I foolishly over looked on our bill as it was already calculated. Please Beware, food was expensive but good.I hope the additonal tip was dispensed throughout the crew that worked.

Oh gosh, I feel like I don't even need to mention that this place is vegetarian friendly... because it definitely is, ten times over. They have incredible food at all times of year. My favorite so far was (I forget the exact name) a seasonal squash ravioli dish. Anti vegetarian? No worries, they do sell food for the omnivores as well! The environment is beautiful as well. I've came here twice during live music and they chose wonderful musicians that suit the ambiance perfectly.

Our go-to place for gluten free offerings in Buffalo. The menu is full of creative dishes and the daily specials feature in-season produce. I did the prix fixe which includes a starter/salad, main entree, and dessert/drink. It was only $35 and a lot of food - Could've definitely shared it with someone! I believe they only offer the prix fixe menu on weekdays. I opted for a salad. The kale salad with the crunchy lentils and garbanzo beans blew my mind. The flavor was outstanding with the seasonings and I loved the crunchiness. For the entrée I chose the special of the night which was a rainbow trout with coconut pineapple risotto. The texture of the risotto was perfect. I also loved the roasted rainbow carrots it was served with. Beautiful colors on my plate! And I don't drink so I chose dessert. I went with the peanut butter chocolate cheesecake which was the cheesecake of the day. So flavorful in the crunchiness of the peanuts was very tasty. Everything I ate was gluten-free! If you haven't checked out Merge and eat vegan or gluten-free, or just love food in general, be sure to do so! Oh and our server, Casey, was wonderful! She came back frequently. I was never looking for her. And it wasn't that she was not busy, there was quite a crowd that . She did a great job multitasking! Stopped here again before Sheas. Can't beat their prefix menu deal! This time I ended up splitting the salad, main dish, and dessert with my mom. We started off with the kale salad, as I love the crunchy lentils mixed in. For our main dish we got a vegetable risotto topped with some grilled shrimp. There was such a wide variety of veggies included - peppers, rainbow carrots, squash, and kale. And the pesto added such a nice fresh flavor to the dish. For dessert we had the vegan pb chocolate chip cheesecake, which is a favorite of mine. I'm not a fan of chocolate syrup so I ordered it without and no whipped cream either. I actually ended up liking it better when I had ordered it in the past with the syrup and whipped cream. But either way it's a great dessert! And once again we had Casey as our server. She is so great - very attentive. She even had them split our salad on two separate plates without up-charging us. Thanks Casey! Can't wait to go back for some more veggie packed dishes!
Has really good food, recommend going there
