Enjoyed very much. Good sized place, plenty of menu options. Had the fish fry with tater tots and coleslaw. Very good! Excellent fresh bread with dinner also. Place has a nice sized bar too. Live entertainer too. Not too loud so group could easily converse. Would definitely recommend.

The food was very good and the waitress was excellent... there was a large party and the food took a bit longer but it was very understandable and didn't mind it at all...i

Old reliable neighborhood place with good cocktails, a pretty nice menu and friendly, professional servers. This is not where you come for gourmet fare, but you'll almost certainly get a decent meal. This wouldn't have been my first choice for a girls' night out, but the other members of the group wanted martinis and the Saturday night special prime rib. Our waitress Carol was just the right amount of fun, while giving excellent customer service. My Manhattan arrived in a shaker complete with strainer and the rock glass on the side. Yup, that's how they did it back in the day, and Mr. Bill's isn't going to break with that tradition anytime soon. Nice tall tumblers of ice water with lemon were much appreciated. One member of our group remarked how it was nice to have a server who didn't need an explanation of what a Gibson was. (For the record, it's a martini with cocktail onions instead of olives or a lemon twist.) Dinners include choice of soup or salad. The base of their salad is iceberg, which I didn't mind because it was crisp and cold, topped with grape tomatoes, cucumber and croutons, and I'm always appreciative of dressing served on the side. The prime rib is offered in three sizes, and the ladies opted for the petite cut, and they all gobbled up every bite and said it was delicious. Side choices included pasta and the seldom-seen mashed potatoes. My Mediterranean style fish was a large cod filet topped with spinach, diced tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, basil and garlic. Cod isn't my favorite fish, but it was moist and tasty topped with all those vegetables. I ordered a baked potato, but afterwards I wished I'd given their pasta a try. This is one of those places with a lot of hard surfaces, so it tends to get a little noisy when it's busy, but it wasn't loud enough that we had to yell at each other to converse. But they do have music most Saturday nights, and I wonder how that plays into the volume level. Very good wine list and some excellent bourbons available. And if you're not in the market for a full dinner, there's a big selection of sandwiches, salads, apps and subs. Nice.

Have been here many times, over the years, always enjoyed the food. We went on Saturday to try their prime rib, and were very disappointed. Service was very slow, prime rib was dry and tough. We will stick with the rest of the menu and stay away from the prime rib!! Alot of people were ordering it and it was sold out by 730.

Visited Mr. Bills on Thursday for lunch with a large group of airline retirees who meet monthly at various local restaurants. From start to finish it was the Best! We were greeted with very friendly staff, out table was ready and our waitress, Nancy, was terrific and most accommodating to all. Almost everyone ordered something different, our meals arrived at the same time and everyone raved about the food and the service. The owner, John, stopped by our table to say hello and make sure we were enjoying our experience. We decided it would be at the top of our list for future gatherings. A truly great place for Buffalo area dining! Go there! You will walk away full and happy! Dawn B.

Easily the best fish fry in Buffalo. The first time we came, the service was slow, but they were really busy and the food was worth the wait. Have gone again since and the service was fast and friendly. The owner comes around and talks to all of the tables which is a nice touch. Highly recommend.

I gave the fish fry 4 ☆☆☆☆ because there were no salads. You got your choice of potato and coleslaw. They did have a basket of good French bread & butter. Another bummer was generic ketchup, yuck! I put ketchup on my fish & fries. Only Heinz will do. I had beer battered. It was crisp on the outside, hot and flaky on the inside. The fries were frozen but very good. I'm pretty sure the coleslaw was not homemade but it was tasty.

This was a fun experience. My coworker and I went here for lunch, there was nothing but elderly people there and there was live music (Frank Sinatra cover band). All the old folks were dancing with each other and having a really good time.

A "local bar" I have come to a few times and never really had my interest until I tried the Cajun fish! Now let me tell you, I am a seafood hater and as much as I want to eat fish because it's healthier than beef and chicken, I have yet to find any creature of the sea To win me over.. until today! Or wait actually 2 weeks ago when I tried the fish and was amazed how good it was. I thought about coming back for 2 weeks just to make sure I now like fish and I've confirmed it! So although it's fried , I still feel like it's not too bad for me because it's breaded but not beer battered so it's much lighter and after I eat I'm not full and lethargic! You have to try the Cajun breaded fish fry for sure!!!

First off, the staff here is so nice! We arrived on a weekday afternoon. There was a decent lunch crowd but we were welcomed and offered a few different seat options (there was to be live music during our meal so we had the option to sit in the same room or a different room than the band). There's an extensive menu and we had a gift certificate, so we did it up with apps and entrees. We had the cheese curds (to die for and there were a lot of them) and hubby had the French onion soup (just ok, he said). For lunch he got two entrees (one to take home), the beef on weck and the beef roulades. He felt the beef was sliced too thick so didn't really enjoy the sandwich. The beef roulades came right of a 1980s school cafeteria, thick cut beef, a pool of thick gravy (looks like the jarred stuff?), and the stuffing he felt was flavored like chicken inside the beef. He was not a fan. I will say though that my kids ate those for dinner for the next two nights. They liked it. I had a sub and it was good but very thick making it a little tough to eat. The fries were good though. Service was good and the pace of service was good too. If we come back, it'll probably just be for apps and drinks. Can't beat fried food and beer!
