Since I became extremely lactose intolerant, eating out is always a disappointment. Not here! I could trust everything on the menu. I took a vegetarian friend and one with no food restrictions and we loved everything we ordered. Super friendly staff, great service and the food was outstanding. Mac and cheese, yes please!

While visiting Buffalo, we were looking for a vegan restaurant for dinner. I am so glad we went to Sunshine Vegan. We each had the "Belt Burger" and we split an order of onion rings. 1) They know how to make fantastic onion rings; 2) the burger was even better than the onion rings. The Belt Burger is just a fantastic sandwich, not just a good vegan sandwich. It had a large impossible patty, with cheese, vegan bacon, caramelized onions, slaw, and spicy vegan shrimp. Remember to ask for extra napkins and prepare to get a bit messy. It also came with some pretty good fries. Sunshine Vegan, appear to have a lot of vegan seafood options including a fish fry and a whole assortment of diner favorites as specials. There is parking and a small seating area but I would consider this a take-out place. If you are a visiting Buffalo, this place is not in a tourist area but it is definitely worth going to if you want some tasty vegan food.
