This place was amazing… and they’re not playing around when you choose spicy and thank god for that. I had the steak with rice (beef halal) and collard greens with tomatoes and meat (sukuma wiki), both phenomenal. Btw they can adjust spice levels to your liking

Delicious home cooked food. This is the warm lentil soup with fluffy and perfectly cooked basmati. Think Fall vibes comfort food.

What an impressive place! The food is exceptional, with the sambusas being an absolute must-try. On top of that, the service is outstanding, and the portions are more than generous. If you're in the Buffalo area, dining here will definitely be a decision you won't regret!

Unassuming spot in a food hall with delicious flavor. The beef halal was good. The goat curry was amazing!

I ordered the Kuku paka so yummy the chicken was just right I thought it would be a bit more coconut but tbh I’ve never had this soo I have nothing to compare it too the sweet semi spicy sauce they gave me was so good wish I got more portions were more than enough to eat later !!! Maybe I should have gotten it spicier

I got the beef halal and it was very fresh and flavorful, a generous portion too. If you can't handle a lot of spice be sure to order mild!

I hope the new group running the downtown bazaar do right by these people because they make some of the best food you can get downtown. Nile River has become my new go to spot there, they never let you down! Huge portions packed with flavor and heat, the kuku paka is incredible! Highly recommend and I hope they achieve more success in the future.

Vegetarian options: Fava beans mashed, delicious. Addas lentils perfect in early autumn. My third time here in the Buffalo Bazaar. Two times at South Sudanese restaurant the Nile River, recommend it highly, Help keep Main Street and small businesses alive in downtown Buffalo!?

Really delicious food - we got the kofta and the kuku paka which tasted really good. Nice fresh salad, nicely grilled kofta and tastefull sauce to the kuku paka. Almost more chicken than we could eat. Fast and very friendly service ? already considering going there again tomorrow

Tried for the first delicious. We had Beef Halal, Kuku paka and Mutabbala with bread. Very good. My favorite was the Beef Halal. Very big portions and reasonably priced. We dig right in before taking a pic it smelled so good.
