Place is out of bussiness.
It looked like was closed down 😑
I love Jamaican food and I'm often disappointed with what some call Jamaican food in certain cities.Riding down Bailey Ave, towards the VA Hospital, I saw this J.A. flag in the window of a store front. My heart skipped a beat, because you and I both know that when the J.A. flag is displayed you can get your mouth ready for some Caribbean Goodness in a plate.
Sad she passed away
Used to get amazing j*** chicken from a place called Backayard (how Jamaicans refer to their homeland) in Menlo Park, CA. Now moved back here and was excited to find possibly authentic Jamaican. Unfortunately when I arrived all of the interior of the windows were sweating with condensation and they were closed. Even more alarming was the yellow posted note that said, "Sorry we missed you" from the Erie County health department! (See my photo uploaded.)
Everything was disgusting oxtails aren't done and whoever answers the phone is really disrespectful
Great food
If you love old school island flavor this place is great. Had take out lunch twice and it was really wonderful. The place is tiny and hard to find with street parking directly across from ABC rentals. Auntie does all the cooking and serving and she's been at it over 30 years. Please bring cash as she doesn't take cards. The prices are reasonable for a big plate! There's no menu she cooks two entries and serves them till they are gone but it's a real treat.
Best place for oxtails
The BEST Jamaician good and the sweetest little old lady Auntie wonderful conversation will be back again and again! Huge portions for a very very fair price!

Best J*** Chicken ever tasted huge servings !
I stumbled upon this place by chance while visiting Buffalo. The absolute best west Indian food I have tasted since my birth! Sweet little woman had the gas on the stove with no fire lit for the longest...when I came in the air was filled with gas and I warned her...she will live to cook another day!!!
Plenty of great Jamaican food very reasonable price, definitely get your money worth!
It's a great place to sit and eat with cabbage to die for!
