Other Half Brewing - Buffalo Taproom

Definitely a positive review because food was wonderful and the staff was the absolute best! They were so kind to us and the beers materialized out of thin air as soon as you ordered them! Also appreciate that it is kid friendly. It was absolutely worth the trip downtown. Just kinda hoping for a little more variety on the draft list please ☺️

I have been to Other Half on a few different locations, and we have been to the Buffalo location a few times-both in your temporary and now permanent location. We love your beers.

We went to the Buffalo Bisons game this evening and were excited to get to the brewery to enjoy a beer before heading home. There were two couples in our party, all of us in our 40s.

Unfortunately, at 9:35, we were trying to open doors, which all had signs on them to go to the next door, which we did, and then every door as we walked around was locked. The place was absolutely packed inside, and it was embarrassing to have everyone watch us as we tried every single door and they were locked. Employees watched us try enter 20-25 minutes prior to your actual closing time (as posted as 10pm on Google and your website)and nothing…employees didn’t even have the courtesy to say you were not open any longer, or you had a private party, or last call, or anything!

Disappointing.

Tonight I tried to come in well before your closing, but the doors were locked. I specifically looked up your hours of operation while I was at the Bisons game to see if I’d be able to go after. I talked about your food and was excited to return, but we weren’t allowed in. I’m not sure if it was a private party or last call, but either way no one acknowledged us. I’m just really disappointed and hope you can do better moving forward.

The entire team was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and so excited to make my sister’s Bachelorette happy hour an amazing success! I want to thank Sophia specifically for her amazing efforts in coordinating such a great atmosphere, going out of her way to customize the day to my sister. She made custom drink tickets, bought beautiful flowers for the table, and made the most gorgeous charcuterie board I have ever seen! I have nothing but the highest regard for this place and I cannot wait to go back!!

This tap room is composed of many excellent bartenders and servers that just want to make sure you're well off! The food is wonderful. If you want proper smash burgers and items like brussel sprouts that are actually done right, order those things! This place knows what they're doing.

Understand that if you're not so much into IPAs, you're not going to love it here. They've got lighter options, flights, and some alternatives but they're absolutely more into that scene. I really enjoyed it and I would come back! Seneca One isn't the best parking either so come on a weekend for free parking as well!

Disappointing Experience – Asked to Pay Before Receiving Food or Service

I was genuinely looking forward to trying this place, but my experience left a lot to be desired by the condescending and rude bartender!. Upon ordering, I was asked to pay upfront before even receiving the food or any service. This immediately set the wrong tone for the meal.

Paying in advance might be understandable at a fast food counter, but this was a sit-down restaurant, and the expectation of service comes with that. It felt impersonal and even a bit presumptuous—especially since I had no idea about the food quality or portion sizes yet.

Restaurants should earn trust through good service and food—not demand it upfront. Unfortunately, this experience made me feel more like a transaction than a guest. I won’t be returning and won't recommend this experience to anyone.

I’ll leave the “other half” for someone else… If you’re into IPAs, this is the place for you…. not so much for me though. I can get into the occasional IPA but can’t stand craft breweries that offer 20+ IPAs and not much else. This is one of those places. They have A LOT of IPAs and some of them are variants of… you guessed it… other IPAs on the menu. For lager/pilsner/crisp and clean ale drinkers… you’ll have to go elsewhere.

Great beer, large selection, they even have their own THC seltzers, if that's what you're into.

Nice that they offer food, and have games, such as pinball and Foosball.

Wish there were less kids. This is a bar.

Went in to order the beer special for bison’s game today. The bartender gave me a rude attitude and saying I can only order the food special and not the beer special. Although it’s posted on the window and tables. I ended up walking out and don’t plan on coming back. Bison’s fans, look for somewhere else to take your business before and after the game.

Food was great. Mozzarella stick were delicious. Atmosphere was nice, great music, not loud. Open space, fast service

Bucket list brewery. Totally worth the 1400 miles to get there. Beer was fantastic. Taproom space was nice and location 20 feet away under construction. A little annoyed that when I tried to buy a 4pk they told me I couldn’t mix it. For $9/can they should let me get what I want and not 4 of each variety. Walked away. Still a great brewery but I’ll just get what I can get for $6/can back home

Great beer for sure. The one guy behind the bar with the Prince t-shirt was super cool!! The other guy was incredibly miserable & had the personality of a rock! Cheer up buddy?

Great selection of hazies on tap. Sadly, all their cans are dying at room temperature. There is definitely enough room here for some fridges, peeps.

Tyler with the ugly mustache, removed the corn hole boards and bean bags from two 4 year olds because he said they just had to buy new ones. (There is more to the story) How do you compare what toddler with adult supervision to a drunk adult. They are not the same. It’s sad they you treated your customers who dropped a couple hundred dollars on a Sunday afternoon that way when they were giving you business when you didn’t have any! Won’t go back!
