Total disappointment…my second time ordering from this place via DoorDash and the second time they get my order wrong and do not read any of the selections I paid extra for such as “substitute salad for hash” or scrambled eggs…they need new staff that knows how to read instructions and offers better food presentation…this looks horrible and taste bland. For the price you pay, you can get way better options elsewhere. I don’t care so much about paying a little extra, but if I’m paying more then I expect overall better service and care in my order.

This morning i had a lovely cup of coffee and a fantastic breakfast sandwich. I also took a dozen krullers to go for my friends at work. Everyone wanted to know where they were from. I know why. I cant tell you of a better doughnut that i have ever had, and i have the waist to back that up. If u r in Buffalo, stay downtown snd eat at Public Espresso.

We were travelling to Niagara (Not from local NY) and wanted to have a great coffee on the way, so did some research on good coffee shops and took a detour to check out this place and eventually when we ordered two lattes they both were so tasteless and foamy (already cold within seconds) and took 20-25min for just two lattes and that to we asked for “in Cups for here” but they gave us in the normal “to go cups”.

Very disappointed and it’s not cheap to expire met as well two lattes costed us $14-16

The place was digusting. Went in for some coffee and food, the tables were dirty, the pillar I was sitting next to was covered in coffee stains and dirty, the phone outlet was melted like it had been on fire and they just left it. It’s not a place I’d reccomend for anyone to get food at and sit down.

Easy to build your own vegan sandwich, bowl or burrito with vegan options clearly marked. Made a sandwich with the tofu scramble and it was delicious! Coffee was also excellent. The atmosphere is gorgeous and cool and staff was very friendly and kind. I recommend! Updated from previous review on 2025-09-12

Happened to get stuck in Buffalo with a long layover for my Greyhound bus. I was hungry and decided I'll just walk up to Public Espresso since it was nearby. Ordered a Peppermint MOKA and a Build Your Own Sandwich on an asiago bagel. Probably the best peppermint mocha I ever had, and the sandwich was tasty too. Everything was fresh. Staff was wonderful and offered recommendations. They were super accommodating aswell, since I had luggage with me. Overall, I'd definitely come back if I'm ever in the Buffalo area.

Much needed in the city. Thank you.

Normally, I really enjoy public espresso, but recently I went and purchased a s’mores bar treat and it was over a week old, and very stale.
