My lox on everything bagel was delicious and fresh. Also it was overflowing with cream cheese and a large cucumber slice that made eating difficult but the flavor was worth it. I've ordered it three times. Mostly dance music plays over the speakers, free WiFi, bus and metro nearby

Best coffee spot in this part of downtown.

Nice food and great coffee. Better than any other coffee I've had in Buffalo. Hope they open another one closer to Allentown.

My favorite coffee is roasted and served here. High quality full palet taste. Great great food. Plus fresh pastries every day. Check it out. You'll be delighted.

Good croissant but only one person serves for coffee and bakeries. Very long line! It takes forever: more people behind but only 1 person serving everything. Ridiculous!! Over one croissant waited almost 20 minutes !!

Ordered through door dash and the sweet potatoes were essentially charred and grilled onions were burnt. The entire bowl was essentially inedible. Normally, I would chalk this up as a one off but principally, packing something of this low quality is completely unacceptable.

Me and my good friend Kelly used to go to Issa Raes coffee shop in Englewood Los Angeles and I remember telling her"K, I really wish there was something like this in Buffalo. You know a trendy and upscale alternative to Starb's & Timmies""I mean without the crazy LA prices"It seems like the people at Public Espresso + Coffee heard my prayer. The overall atmosphere and aesthetics are amazing. Then the fundamentals of a coffee shop are in place as well. The coffee and pastries are on point and they even had my iced ginger green tea ready within a heartbeat. (Albeit for $4) I could have a conversation with my friends here and quite frankly it's open enough to feel big but still cozy enough to feel intimate. So whether you're looking to kill some time reading a book or making time to write one this is a strong recommendation to visit and link up to the WiFi.When you visit, be sure to tell them St. James sent you.

Whenever I stay in Buffalo (a couple of times a year) I make a point to stop here. My favorite is a pour over coffee with the pulled pork chorizo hash. Everything is done well here.

Public Espresso is one of my favorite coffee shops in Buffalo, NY! There are two locations, one in Hotel Lafayette and another on Seneca Street. They have some of the best donuts and breakfast sandwiches. The service is consistently accommodating and they work hard to make sure everyone is served in a timely and efficient manner. Especially because it is typically quite busy! All their drinks are made fresh to order and their pastries are phenomenal! Their crullers are my favorite. The entire ambiance of the entire restaurant is very modern and sleek. Every time I go, I have always had a positive experience. Be sure to get there early to get the pastries you want! The Cinnamon Sugar and Salted Caramel Crullers are my recommendation. Happy Eating!!

Cute place. Quick and friendly service. Just what you'd expect from a trendy little coffee shop. Just to add one thing, donuts were GREAT!! Big surprise there. Lots of cool options too.

Their Turkey club is one of the best I've had. It's not like slices of deli meat it's a whole slab of real turkey. Also one of the few coffee shops I've been to that actually does a pour over.

The coffee is mediocrealso the guy who I think is the owner: tall thin older guy in his 50’s verbally berated one of his staff right in front of me… like if you don’t know how to talk to your employees like they’re people you don’t deserve to be in businessperiod

I can't drink caffeinated coffee, but I really enjoy the taste and aroma of good coffee. It's rare to find high quality in decaffeinated brands. But Bean Bastard is an exception. Delicious taste, fine aroma. Great for the morning or afternoon. I'll come back for more.
