We came here on a whim when driving by with prior knowledge of an extensive bourbon/whiskey selection. I will say, I had THE WORST old fashioned I have ever had in my life at this establishment. It was 96% soda water. We were convinced the bartender has never made an old fashioned before. Onto the food. It was okay. I ordered a Nashville hot chicken and my partner got a platter with pork, baked beans, Mac n cheese. The chicken sandwich came dry??? As in fried with just pickles. Not hot sauce. All in all, I’d highly recommend avoiding this place.

The food was tasty. The hush puppies could have been a bigger portion. My husband ordered them with his chicken sandwich and only got 4-5 small ones, whereas our friend ordered the onion rings and had a ton of them

The wife and I walked into an empty tavern, and was immediately greeted by the waitress/barkeep. Very kind and courteous, immediately brought us waters.
We ordered the sampler which came with brisket, smoked wings, corn cake, ribs, Mac and cheese, greens, sausage, fries, and beans. We ordered an extra side of brisket and ribs, just because we knew what was in the sampler wasn’t enough for the both of us… lol
Brisket: you could tell it wasn’t “fresh out the smoker”, and had been prepared hours prior to, but it was still juicy and tender. Mild smoke ring. You could tell it wasn’t sitting in some pan of juices all day. Very well seasoned.
Ribs: tender, seasoned “enough”, but not to my liking. Would I order again, yes I would. The dry rub is well seasoned. (We order both wet and dry rub)
Sausage: it very heard to mess up sausage, and they didn’t!!! Nice, plump, juicy sausage. Very flavorful.
All of the sides were very flavorful, I’ll give a 5 out of 5! The greens had a well balanced flavor.
What made me not give this place a perfect score, were the wings. They were dry, and had no flavor whatsoever so ever. Even using the tasteful sauces they gave it, just couldn’t get into them. I was disappointed. But for a 1st time visit, it was a good experience. They also have a vast selection of whiskeys. I mean a lot from all over the world. This place is definitely worth a visit.

We got the pit platter, 2 ribs (wet), 3 smoked wings, brisket, 2 sausages, Mac n cheese, baked beans, French fries and corn cake.
Brisket- ok
Sausages - ok
2 Ribs- that were absolutely terrible, the were the size of a small flat wing. Just dreadful taste like old meat.
Smoked wings- they might have been Smoked but maybe with old cigarettes and then deep fried. TERRIBLE
Mac N Chesse - ZERO ZERO FLAVOR baked beans - taste like any beans out of a can
French fries - fresh cut (small win) taste like they were deep fried earlier today and then they put them back in the grease.
Corn cake - zero flavor.
Our waitress was very nice, they had that going for them... that's it.

Problem was that she was trying to tend bar in one room and serve the dining room at the same time. She could have used a little help! She was literally the only staff person that we saw while we were there. Environment could probably use a bit of a cleanup but I will definitely go back because the food is really phenomenal.

We stopped by while driving through the neighborhood. There is a very relaxed atmosphere, it made us feel right at home. The waiter was fantastic. Drinks came immediately, gave us time to decide on our order since everything sounded so good and our glasses were never empty. The philly bbq sandwich melts in your mouth and was put together amazingly well. My wife got farmhouse burger. It was cooked perfectly and was one of the best burgers shes had. The mac and cheese was great with lots of cheese and a hint of jalapeño. The hush puppies were the best ive ever had. They were crispy on the outside and moist in the middle and came with a killer spicy dipping sauce. I would highly recommend checking this place out!
