This place is absolutely delicious. Their lamb haneeth is one of a kind and they truly have some of the best white rice. The owner is very sweet as well. If you want to experience something different in Buffalo, Shibam is the place to go! I will be coming back to try their chicken next time.

I’ve tried their haneeth lamb with rice, and unfortunately, the quality was really disappointing. I usually love Middle Eastern food because it's known for being so fresh, but the dish I had seemed quite old. The staff seemed more focused on their phones than providing service, which added to the poor experience. I hope they can make some improvements, as I don’t see this working out for them in the long run if things don’t change. During lunch hour, it was just my family at the restaurant for an hour without any other customers.
We ordered the Lamb Mandi and received three pieces of lamb, all of which were tough and tasted like they had been sitting for a while. The rice was extremely dry and undercooked. Additionally, the onion slices provided were not fresh, appearing wilted and unappetizing.
We spoke to the manager about the poor quality of the food, but he seemed uninterested in our feedback. He was on his phone while we were talking and didn't seem to care about what we were saying.

Are you guys even open anymore? Just arrived, it says you are open 9am and it is 12:43pm. No one answers the phone.
We drove in from Canada to come here.
How are you running a restaurant and not updating your hours or even putting in a voicemail or notice if you have different hours????
The food is delicious, especially the haneeth, rice, and broth

Best Yemeni restaurant in Buffalo. Fahsa, mendi, and zurbayan are top notch. If you’re looking for an authentic Yemeni restaurant with quality food and good service this is the place.
