The food was great. I'm old, so take my criticism of the band being so loud the four of us couldn't carry on a conversation with a grain of salt. The service was lacking. From the time we placed the order, until we got our food, was 55 minutes. There were many tables seated after us that got their food before we did. We went there for a wonderful engagement party. The food and drinks were excellent, our waitress was a darling. Saturday evening was busy. We had a reservation but had to wait 30 plus minutes to be seated.

I have eaten at many fine establishments in my life — some with Michelin stars, some with questionable napkins — but Tappo Restaurant may now live forever in my memory the way Notre Dame football fans still talk about the 1988 national championship: loudly and with unnecessary dramatics.
