Traveler wanting to try a recommendation from a Buffalo friend and others. Had the Footlong Sahlen's Charbroiled Dog, loaded with everything and chili + fries with cheese sauce. They both were delicious and the Sahlen's Dogs here are a MUST TRY if you visit Buffalo. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Store was clean. Not a big hot dog fan but would make exceptions just for these dogs. I'll be back everytime I visit. You should try it!

I had the Polish sausage topped with caramelized onions. It was lower in sodium than a hot dog. The spicy mustard was good, but I prefer horseradish-flavored mustard, and Ted’s does not have any.One important note: the cashiers did not take orders. The cooks did. Perhaps that is why the line was so long.

Amazing atmosphere and food here, the perfect place to stop for a quick meal. The only complaint I have is that the veggie dog was cooked directly beside all of the other hotdogs and rolled around together touching side my side the whole time with the same utensils being used. Some non meat eaters might feel uncomfortable with this so I might try to keep them separated. The employees are always upbeat and the space is always very clean.Vegetarian options: The veggie dog was cooked directly beside all of the other hotdogs and rolled around together touching side my side the whole time with the same utensils being used.

I drove over on a weekday at 2:30 cause they're advertised as open, all the lights outside are lit up but a sign on the door saying they're closed Saturday - Wednesday.. Second time I've came to the Chippewa location during their advertised hours & they weren't open...

They do not offer takeout orders, online ordering, or delivery - you can only walk in to place an order. I would eat here all the time if I could pick up an order on my lunch break, but I can’t as they won’t start an order until you’re in the restaurant. This seems like a blindingly obvious flaw - 99% of restaurants offer take out or online ordering. I can’t believe post-pandemic there even exists a restaurant that doesn’t offer that. Incredible.
