We arrived right when they opened at 5pm. The host was nice and helpful throughout our experience. However, I was shocked to see the establishment had not been cleaned. There were crumbles etc still on various tables the floor had not been swept. There was little soap left in the bathroom dispenser and no paper towels. I order the gumbo-laya. It was decent. My friend ordered the challenger burger……the presentation of the burger was great. However, it had a hair on it so it was not eaten. We received an order of shrimp tacos that were okay. Overall not the greatest experience and would not come back.

The food at The Bayou is top notch, the bar is incredibly relaxed and fun. The owner and the staff are so nice and welcoming. Every dish I have ever tried has been amazing. The Buffalo chicken and shrimp pizza-boys are some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The margaritas are so delicious and great portioned sized. If you are looking for real southern style cuisine this is the place to be. It is my absolute favorite locally owned restaurant!

The food is good here but I bought 3 whiskeys and they charged an extra $6.00 for my drinks because they were on the rocks. My wife ordered 2 tall deep eddy and lemon and they charged $3.00 extra for water. I've never been anywhere that charged for water or ice! If we ever go and eat there it'll be just take out. We'll have our beverages somewhere else.

My wife and I just had the fish fry there and it was the best fish fry we've had in ages. Our server Nick was excellent and I have to recommend the Georgia Tea!

The fish was great! Small but great taste. The sides well were a child’s handful of fries if that and something they tried to say was coleslaw left a disgusting taste on the pallet! I paid 50.00 for 3 and it wasn’t worth it at all.

Friendly Staff, clean, but the food was not the best. The shrimps in my seafood pasta was almost undercooked but edible. The sauce was very runny. My sister's desert took extremely long to come out. They were out of the beniets. I am sure I misspelled that. I am hoping for improvement

If you like southern food than this is the place to be. If I could give it more stars I would. The atmosphere there is awesome along with all the waitresses qnd workers everyone is super friendly I met the owner when I was there and he was very down to earth and explained everything if I had a question. I will be back many more times. Was a great southern hospitality .

I'm giving 3 stars because we've been there 3 times and all but the last time the food was excellent. When their menu was smaller, their food was amazing. We decided to go back once they expanded the menu and were really disappointed. The shrimp and grits were cold and flavorless and tasted old. The crawfish boil was equally cold and flavorless and tasted as if they were frozen. My suggestion would be for them to go back to a smaller menu so they can offer better quality. I'd like to support a local business so hopefully our bad experience was a one-off. Good luck!

Overall experience was ok. Friendly staff, very clean establishment, and a great menu. I ordered a spiked lemonade (delicious!) and hush puppies with my catfish po' boy with beignets to go. That's when the evening went all wrong. The sandwich was great for the first half, but the second half was under cooked; the end of the sandwich was chewy and still very pink and cold (pretty sure it was raw). Pointed this to a server who only apologized and took the rest of it away. Did I mention the place was freezing cold the entire time? I had to keep my coat on, other patrons and staff were doing the same and complaining about it the whole time. I paid and was told my beignets were being made. They came back with some cash saying they were out of beignets and apologized again.Maybe it was just a bad night, with the cold and all, but I don't think I would come back or recommend it to anyone. Wish I had more good things to say other than friendly staff and a good atmosphere.
