This is the best restaurant in Buffalo, if youre second guessing it at all, don't, go here. I will dream of this place when I am back home in Cincinnati

They have such an amazing menu of diverse and unique flavor combinations. One of the best cocktails I have ever had (Broken Garden Tools) and a menu of just truly unique flavor pairings.

For example, I hate horseradish, but we ordered the Savory Bread Pudding (crab, horseradish, and cilantro) but it was amazing! The chefs here know what they are doing.

My advice, go here and order the most out of the box/unique items on the menu.

We happened to find The Dapper Goose on Resy while visiting Buffalo and were very much impressed. The food was excellent with the ricotta toast, delicata squash, and bread pudding as particular stand outs. Rounding out our dining experience was absolutely stellar service from the front-of-house staff. Little touches like fresh silverware and plates between courses, attentive beverage service, and simple syrup served with after-dinner coffee really impressed us. The Dapper Goose will definitely be on our return list next time we’re in Buffalo!

All of the food and cocktails were amazing. The Korean fried chicken wings were some of the best wings I've had in a while. The the garlic shrimp, beet salad, and beet gnocchi were all delicious. The cocktails were very original and unique, but oh so good. Don't go expecting to have left overs basedon portion size

Amazing service, wonderful food, beautiful cocktails. The blackened green beans, cauliflower, and duck were lovely. Desserts were both awesome, too.

The service was unreal. I had read some reviews commenting about it and I didn’t believe it could be as bad as they said. It was. If you don’t care about service, don’t mind bad attitudes and sour faces- and don’t mind if your food arrives cold- then give it a go! If you care about that stuff, I’d take a hard pass.

The staff was prompt, friendly, and helpful. The fennel dish was excellent. My burger was of good quality, but overcooked, and the fries were greasy and soft. The food is somewhat expensive, but the portion size is good. All the cocktails we tried were interesting and delicious.

So this is our 4th time there. We took a 18 month hiatus to give this place another shot. And again, it was just odd. The server was so disassociated from their job, and we had this same server the previous time. It was like they were high and we were an inconvenience to their evening. Fine, we don’t need to be friends, just need to feel welcomed, which was definitely missing.

The music was like we were at a club, which was strange. Deborah Cox remixes, and other dance hits kind of felt strange for a “fine dining” experience. Totally fine to play some fun music, but seriously was way out of place.

Now the food. Omg. Talk about trying too hard. Everything had a fruit or nut component. Ok- not a problem, but it needed variety. The burrata and stone fruit salad was covered in sesame seeds. Yeah- I get textural elements but it was just weird. I had the pork schnitzel with shishitos- again just a weird presentation. An unpounded pork chop (Milanese should be thin), breaded and fried, on top of an aioli, with this handful of shishito peppers (with the stems) on top of it. Just didn’t make sense, had to ask for a side plate to get to the pork. Just put them on the side. And on top of it was this lemon caked in Cajun spices (yes as advertised) but just strange and a ton of Cajun spice on a lemon, like a chunk of it). So weird. Not that any of it was terrible, but it just was odd and out of place. Like someone was trying to hard to think of trendy food and mashed it all together into some dishes.

We tried to love it. We gave it multiple chances, even after a disastrous New Year’s Eve dinner a few years ago, but we don’t need to try again. I can’t understand why people think this place is so great. Everything was misaligned and just left us feeling like we couldn’t wait for the meal to end. We tried. Dapper Goose failed. (Pick of weird pork dish and Cajun caked lemon below). Sorry guys. Do better.

Best small plate was the burrata. All the veggie plates were delicious as well. Sauce game on point. Mahi mahi was fine, but I'd probably get something else next time. Bread pudding is easily the best dessert on the menu -- I've tried them all, so believe me on that one.

It's honestly not that expensive if you don't get drinks or desserts, as the portion sizes are pretty large for an upscale-ish place like this. About half the price of equivalent places in DC/NYC that are at this quality level (high end but not quite Michelin level).

Atmosphere isn't too posh, but it's still a little fancy; button up with the sleeves rolled up would work.

All around great for a date night :)

Aside from a little swarm of bugs and bees in the (really really cool) outdoor space, it was pretty great. Great food. Server was cool. Will visit again.
