I had placed an order for chicken fingers and fries last night. The owner of the restaurant called me and told me the food had been sitting at the restaurant for more than half an hour! Food was still amazing either way. They really care about the people they serve and love to help! Loved the experience and will definitely try again !

Shoestring fries, tator tots, or onion rings? Yum! They cook to order and serve it fast - the burger was perfectly cooked, exactly as I asked and tots I asked for well-done - and they did it! Yum! Yum! Yum!

Brutal. Arrived at 5pm to have wings before the hockey game. 45 mins later no food… waitress said the kitchen was backed up and it would be another 30-40 mins. We left after waiting 75 mins and no food.

Don’t let the website fool you. The place is a dump. The servers are completely scattered and the back of the house is so disorganized. We waited 1hr for food and canceled the order in order to get to the game. We were told it’s always like this on game night. So my question is: if you know you’re going to be slammed why not plan for it?

Union Pub has become a regular stop for us before sporting events, offering both consistent quality and a true Buffalo vibe. The menu delivers, with the food being uniformly delicious. A personal standout is the hot BBQ sauce, which is easily one of the best. Be prepared for classic, shoestring-cut fries, and don't miss the French Onion Soup, which is a surprisingly strong offering.
The atmosphere celebrates local heritage, featuring a Buffalo Sports theme highlighted by blue seats from the old Aud at the entrance. Note that the pub fills up quickly on event nights, so reservations or early arrival are advised. For a casual spot with great eats downtown, Union Pub is a highly recommended choice.

Came here due to its high Google rating and was not disappointed.
Wings were on point, at a perfect balance between crisp and tender. Medium wings were perfectly saucy and easy to eat, and the sweet chili lime was sneaky good though quite sweet. Also, their bleu (blue? Idk) cheese dressing was so good I could have eaten it with a spoon.
Beef on weck was decent, with decent seasoning on the beef. It was somewhat cold, but that's understandable since they probably slice it earlier in the day. The sandwich was notable for having a surprisingly great kimmelweck roll - seriously, I don't think I've had a better one.
French onion soup had a thick layer of cheese on it and was decent, with a reasonably strong beef flavor (albeit a bit metallic beef base-y for my liking). I think it could have used a bit more acidity (or sherry) to break up the heaviness and add depth, but that's me being a snob. (I do make a mean French onion myself, after all 🤣)
Service was friendly and kind, and treated me like I belonged there, rather than just someone filling a seat. Everyone was so insanely nice. Moreover, the value of what you get for your money is insane here. This was a great experience and I'd choose to come here any time I'm staying here in the future.
Anyway, this was a overly detailed, pointlessly long review to say that you should stop reading Google reviews and just go here already. You won't regret it.
