Thank you, Max, the manager for an awesome food. The mango and peach drink with cherry was awesome. Jaden showed us to our table and loved to watch the robot serving the food. Sarah, our server was good, but she switched to another section without letting us know. We kept looking for her for napkins and more hot water. Thank God, Lee, our alternative server showed up and helped bring the hot water. I recommend that next time, if a server switches to another section, please let the customer know so we don’t have to wait for the no-show server. Overall, the experience was awesome. Next time, we will order all you can eat buffet for 40 dollars, more bang for the buck. Thank you, Max, for the hard work, we saw you explaining the menu in detail to other customers, in addition to bar tending, multiple tasks, and awesome restaurant manager. We ordered the spicy basil chicken and the red curry chicken, and both were delicious, many thanks to the cook. The mango salad was superb, and we highly recommend it. The green tea cheese cake was just ok. The price of the food was pretty decent, compared to other restaurants in the vicinity. Super awesome servers, cleaning the table as soon as we are done with the dishes. Thank you, Max, the manager for the training you gave the servers for this awesome quick service.

My colleagues and I had a wonderful farewell dinner at Wind Japanese & Thai. The food was delicious with the menu having an abundance of food options, including many vegetarian dishes. The restaurant had an interesting and unique structure where guests order dishes from the menu on a tablet, and then the wait staff comes to send it to the kitchen when the table is ready. Once sent to the kitchen, the dishes are brought to the table in no particular order by both the wait staff and autonomous robots with rather friendly voices. Unfortunately, some of the items we ordered were not delivered, and the reason was not communicated to us by the staff, so I assume it was just forgotten. After the first set of dishes was brought to the table, we noticed that some of the meat options were put on the same plate as the vegetable dishes; because we had vegetarians, we asked for the dishes to come with meat and veggie options kept mutually exclusive on the plate. We also had a slight issue with a buildup of empty plates over the course of the meal, where we sometimes needed to ask the staff to take away some piles stacked 4-5 plates high. All of the dessert options were tasty and are worth trying. The ice cream was underwhelming being simply a Dixie cup, but the creme brulee was quite delicious. All in all, we had a blast eating dinner at Wind Japanese & Thai. It is definitely a restaurant that anyone in Buffalo should try at least once for the food and experience; and this is certainly a great place for having small dinner events.Vegetarian options: The menu had vegetarian dishes marked with a green leaf. This could be improved by distinguishing vegetarian vs. vegan options. Some items that were vegetarian did not have a leaf due to the inclusion of egg in the dish, which is fine for some, but not for others; this could be easily improved with just a bit of extra clarification in the menuParking: Parking is in the front and around the side, the furthest spot is less than a minute walk from the front entrance. Leaving the parking lot, you can only turn right onto transit because of the median, though a spot to make a u turn is nearby.Kid-friendliness: We had a 9 year old kid with us and she had a great time eating the sesame chicken, and thoroughly enjoyed the desserts. Kids under 10 are about half the price of an adult, and anyone older is billed as an adult.

The worst service I’ve had in a restaurant in a very long time!! Stuck us in the back room with loud crying kids, barely saw the waiter. Had to wait forever for everything. And who doesn’t serve wasabi with sushi? We had to get up 2 times and ask for to go bags and our check. What a shame, we had great expectations for this place.

Went to Wind for the first time today. It’s awesome that they have a gluten-free menu and sort out the gluten free options on the tablet! However, in order to get the items gluten-free, you must call over a server, so they can make a note to the kitchen that those items that you ordered on the tablet were gluten-free.It was a little bit of a learning curve after a couple of (minute) errors. Maybe it was all a misunderstanding from the get-go, but most importantly, their food was fresh and the quality of all of the items was great. After talking with some of the wait staff and a manager, this restaurant does have hopes of ordering/notifying the gluten-free options easier. I’m very happy that they have a gluten-free menu with good food in the first place, and hope to come back soon!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-Free

Before the Buffalo location opened, I was a regular visitor to Wind near the U.S.-Canada border, and I've been consistently pleased with my experiences there, visiting nearly a dozen times since the opening of the Buffalo branch. However, my experiences were marred by interactions with a server named Karen, who exhibited behavior that felt discriminatorily targeted towards me, potentially due to my Asian heritage. After being seated, Karen didn't inquire about our drink preferences and simply brought us three cups of water. Throughout our meal, she neglected our table—failing to clear extra plates, neglecting to refill our water, and showing a stark contrast in warmth towards other patrons. Additionally, her body language—rolling her eyes and displaying a look of disdain after reviewing our order on the iPad—only added to the discomfort. I feel like she's looking at us like we're trash. My discussions with friends, who are also Asian, revealed they encountered similar unfriendly service from Karen, detracting significantly from their dining experience.Despite this, our affection for Wind remains. The cuisine, ambiance, and the remainder of the staff consistently deliver an exceptional dining experience that keeps us coming back.4/12/2024 updateI was contacted by the manager and they found the server and appreciate Wind's attention to the matter.

Food is great, just make sure you read the portion sizes that are offered. Robots are pretty cool, and the teriyaki and steak were excellent.

I've been here many times and it has always been great, I've always felt welcome and the food never dissapoints. However, I was here tonight and the service was terrible. My server seemed to go to the tables around me but never come to us. When she did, she was short with us. Everything we asked for we had to ask for again or just never got. We waited over half an hour with our call server page up on the iPad for our second round of food after having appetizers but it felt like we were being ignored. It made for an uncomfortable experience. Once we finally got someones attention to send our order, we ate what we got, left cash on the table and left. It was disappointing because we would have liked to enjoy more food but weren't given the opportunity. I love this place and I think it's worth the price when the service is good. I recommend this place to everyone and I was really looking forward to it tonight and it just didn't satisfy.
