Got the chef's special lomein...was good, but got the sesame chicken dinner with Wonton soup....granted I have never been here and went off the ratings...I have to say the ratings lied...the chicken was dry and tasted like cardboard and the wonton soup...to be nice..tasted like fish water...it sucks that the dinner was what it was...but I guess you can't believe all what you see on ratings!
Tried this on a whim. Loved the food! Best fried rice ever.
Great service, atmosphere and fresh delicious food.
Wok & Roll in Williamsville is nothing short of a revelation — easily one of the best Hong Kong-style Cantonese restaurants in the Rochester–Buffalo area. A true hidden gem that deserves way more attention and repeat visits.
The Eggplant Casserole was an absolute highlight: the eggplant was tender and silky, absorbing all the rich, savory sauce without falling apart. Comfort food executed at a high level.
The Sizzling Beef with Black Pepper came out dramatically on a hot iron plate — aromatic, juicy, with a perfectly balanced sauce that clings to each slice of tender beef. A crowd-pleaser done right.
The Typhoon Shelter Shrimp was crispy, garlicky, and bursting with umami — a bold dish that packs both texture and flavor, especially if you're a fan of fried garlic and spice.
Equally noteworthy was the service — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It’s clear the staff takes pride in both the food and the overall experience.
In short, this place sets the standard for Cantonese dining in the region. Wok & Roll isn’t just a great Chinese restaurant — it’s the gold standard for Hong Kong-style fare in Western New York. Absolutely worth many return trips.
Vegetable lo mein. Very few pieces of broccoli (though fresh), no carrots, no celery, no wood ear mushrooms, no water chestnuts. And a bit bland. First time here, not likely to go back with so many other options
Hands down the best Chinese food we've had here! Benny is very gracious and welcoming and genuinely cares about his customers. The food is outstanding. I enjoy the garlic chicken, curry chicken and General Tsao chicken, all delicious! My husband loves the orange chicken and their hot and sour soup is also the best I've tried.
Everything is very cozy and extremely clean, fast service and you'll be treated like a friend. The best Chinese food anywhere, highly recommend!
Food is always hot always fresh and the guy who cashes us out of friendly definitely worth your money.
Best Chinese food I have ever had. The place was very cute and nicely decorated but even better it was spotless! The bathrooms were even spotless. Highly recommend. I will definitely go when I am in Buffalo again
Solid Chinese food. Nice staff. Our vegetables were undercooked.

Tried the Singapore Mei fun. It was good, however didnt seem to have much overall flavor identity. Im unsure what the dish is seasoned with??, or if it has a sauce in it? Mine was pretty dry.. Almost like a ton of noodles with stir fry mixed in. Nearly bland, needs something to flavor it more. I definitely expected better food , but had no reason to complain. Ill try it again.

The soggy fried rice was drenched in soy sauce, giving it a chocolate brown color. The Szechuan shrimp was drenched in oily sauce. Neither was warm when picked up. Egg rolls were good, the only bright spot.
Always have excellent food and service here. And left overs for lunch! ?
